Welcome to the forums. You need to convert the video files into a format readable by the M6. You can use BatMan to do so:
BatMan - einfache Stapelverarbeitung für MEncoder

There are instructions on the page as to how to use it, there's even a video tutorial.

re:

well, M6 is limited to play video and only supports avi format that is divx encoder. So, you need to convert the video to avi and use divx encoder.
You can try to use iskysoft video converter. If it still fails, try to trim the video into two parts.(maybe it's because the video is too long and M6 cant read it)

It actually uses XviD video, it's automatically configured in BatMan.

It takes both DiVX and XViD files in the AVI container, as long as the other configurations (dimensions, rotation & bitrate) are correct.

just for the record : it accepts every mpeg-4/asp compliant video codec in an avi container (as long as it meets some other criteria as well). This includes but is not limited to DivX, XviD and libavc (ffmpeg). BatMan uses libavc by default.

So...Who's right? I'm inclined to listen to BobbyQ, simply because he created BatMan, but out of personal experience, I have tried putting .avi files on, only to find they won't work, and have to re-encode with BatMan.

.avi can be extremely deceiving, it's only an extension, and can vary in codecs.
