I've attached a jpeg screenshot showing the settings that work for rotated xvid avi. I just saved the settings as a preset.

Meizu really should contact the software writers about licensing this and including it on the CD.
CORRECTION: I was converting Music Videos today and discovered Audio Khz should be 44.1 not 48 as in the picture below, or you may get lips out of sync. In any case, play around with audio bit rate & video bit rate if you have problems.
I am messing around with the settings you have up in the pic, but I dont have the option for XviD compression, is there something extra I have to do first to enable that?

Also when I first dropped my avi file into the little blue dots square it played audio only and the vid was just blank white. Is that ok, will it still play on meizu?

You should technically be able to run mencoder on your osx via command line. There is a thread i started that uses a script to control mencoder.

    http://www.mplayerhq.hu/design7/dload.html

You will be able to locate a copy of mencoder. If you need help installing it just post here. Ill monitor this thread as well.:D
I have mencoder open, but i dont know how to get it to open the terminal other than to click cropdetect which i know isnt right.

what do I have to do first, a step by step would be nice thanks

Try to get a x86 emulater on your mac. And then use BatMan.

VMware, the emulator is free, the emulation creator, however, is not. You will have to use a free third party tool to create the emulation.

@rbudd + any other anxious mac user:

    - though not supplying a definitive instruction, just replying to confirm I'm using OS X 10.4, converting with MPEG_Streamclip_(1.9.2) with Divx 5.1.1 codec, sound in MP2, and it works fine

Many Video Conventers can do this. Only need the following things:
    320*240
    Avi Divx
    no more than 20fps.
