    A reliable software at last?!?

I think I have tried all the solutions for encoding videos the right way to put on my Meizu, but I haven't found yet "the" one, ie who is able to convert all kind of video files, big as well as small ones:

-Video Converter & Badack:works sometimes, specially for small files such as serials, but he still won't encode somme files (add, but don't want to start)...

-Mediacoder:the format of encoding is not readable by the Meizu, plus I can't find the settig for M6, despite I tried with 4 different versions...

-Virtualdub MPEG2:even if you have to set manually all the settings, this soft has given me the best (the less bad) results, the problem is the sound is not synchrone...

So I have 3 kind of encoded files:files who are correctly encoded and correctly read by the player, files who seemed to have correctly encoded but the Meizu won't play them, files who are badly encoded...

Is there a solution? The manufacturer knows the issue?

    Thanks a lot!
(and forgive my english, it seems the French board is asleep)

Click the devices button with the PSP on it
    Go to extensions
Wait for it to load and then go to the digital audio players (2nd)
Click the miniplayer link at the bottom
wait for the new box to box up, change settings and then press start

is that what your talking about

    That's it!

I wonder why I didn't see the Miniplayer link, probably because it's written about Archos players just above:D

Anyway, this time the encoding worked, so "Merçi beaucoup Lambo!"

Yep for me the DL had worked.

To scaglifr : it can't open a file when SmartVD is opened with wine : it just closes the VD window when I would do so... Is there anything i should do ? I will try to put the file in the same folder as VD.

Besides, it seems possible to use DVD:RIP filters to rip directly in M6 format, but I didn't try yet...

edit 1 : I will try to use handbrake, a software who runs under linux dedicated for ripping dvd's in pmp formats (made for beos and mac osx).

Iriverter is a great piece of software that seems one the majority of occassions to give a good usage result furst time with no double encodes required.

    Iriverter Download - http://iriverter.sourceforge.net/download.shtml

    M6 Iriverter Profile - http://homepage.usask.ca/~jpp073/meizu15.zip

Download and install Iriverter from the link above, then download the profile. Look in the Iriverter folder to locate the profile folder and place the Meizu profile file in there.

The rest is a piece of cake.

I have tried using Iriverter to convert a DVD and although it works on the PC, it will not play on my M6.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks
    Peter
