DVD ripping

What is the best software to rip a DVD to the M6?

I'm currently getting these problems:

Video Converter doesn't join vob files.
Media Coder returns a "MEncoder unloaded" soon after I begin transcoding.
Iriverter doesn't respond when I try to open the disc. It can't gather the title info.

Some help please.

I've previously been using Gordian Knot for my video conversions for my Samsung YP-T8. But I don't really want to use it since I think it's a bit slow and more complicated.

Yes, aren't they installed when Mediacoder is installed? They are installed. I've checked the directory

If DVD Shrink doesn't work for u try DVDx its for free and works fine. But I had some Problems encoding new DVDs with the 2.6 Version. Get the newest or try 2.3 that didn't give me any Probs a all.

What I would like to do is convert the dvd to the xvid avi (m6 compatible) file in one step. Iriverter is an example. But I doesn't seem to be working for me.

It should be possible. My brother has an Iriver Clix and he uses iriverter to convert in one step

I can feed a vob file to mediacoder using medicoders presets and get quality video on the M6 but the audio track warbles terribly. (Interestingly I have found that under either windows or linux anything that relies upon mencoder, apart from the meixu converter running under wine on linux, results if garbled audio). Only problem with the meizu converter is that one cannot correct the sounf sync problem.

Ok, I've changed dvd and now mediacoder and iriverter both work. I think it must be because the previous dvds only had the main movie in it. Perhaps because the dvd structure was changed from the default, it didn't work.

How do I rotate videos using iriverter? Do I have to edit the 'meizu profile' file? (add rotate=1 to it?)
