Buzzing sound might be from the encoding from video. Try using another encoder and encode at a higher quality to see if it still happens.

With regards to the sound, there is some faint white noise when a song is paused, it is more noticeable. It might also be the earphones you are using, very sound sensitive.

If more problems persist, there might be something wrong with your audio connection. A replacement is your only option.

yeah maybe it´s my hearphones, i use a pair of old cresyn lmx-630sn, and it´s extremely much hissing in them, but now i also noticed it when im listening to music, also when the music is paused...

Maybe this could be the white noice that you´re talking about, but i think it sounds way to loud...

Any recommendations on in ear headphones for the m6 sp?

Personally, I use in-ear earphones such as Sony MDR-EX71SL, Creative EP-630 (recommended), and Sony MDR-EX082... first 2 broke now using 3rd one

Also heard Sennheiser CX300 is pretty good, very much similar to Creative EP-630.

Also one more suggestion: there will be less hissing if you don't use the spatializer at all. What do you have your PCE and ViBE up as? Have them at 1 if you're using them, or else that's the cause of your hissing (especially PCE).

i have both of em on 1.... i tried to shut off the spatializer, but it didnt help much, the hissing isnt that extreme, im thinkin, it might be my ears, i havnt used an mp3player for a few weeks, so it might be that im not used to it, but its still hissing a lot when watching videos.... anyways, if i try not to care about the hissing the sound is excellent, although i would like to hear the voice of the singer a little more, any hints about that?

i am a pain in the ass, i know

Leave PCE at 1 and turn ViBE off, ViBE does nothing but distort the bass. It makes it sound phatter so that the earphones can handle it better, and this sounds okay on dance/trance/house/techno but totally messes up the bass on most hip-hop tracks.

I am a bit of a bass head myself, but for me softer but deeper bass is better than louder but phatter and distorted.

Try turning the treble boost to 1 or 2, that should help a bit. As for the voice, go into Sound Effects, EQ, and hit the FWD key on User Defined. That'll take you to the 10-band equalizer settings (i just found this too, i had no idea that there was a multi-band EQ on the M6).

There boost the 1kHz band by 3 or 4, the 2.5kHz band by 2, and turn the 5kHz band down to -1. That should give you a clearer and more "present" voice that doesn't hurt your ears. Also, since the voice is louder, the hissing will be less noticeable. My M6 has a little hiss too, but it's only audible at the beginning of progressive tracks (that start with the beat only and then build up the rest of the song). When the voice comes in you won't be able to notice anymore hissing.
