    Video Testing

This thread provides a clip from a movie that I have converted. For those of you that have Video problems, try watching this clip on your Player to see if you have a faulty player, or if you are not converting your videos correctly.

Here's the link:MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service

Edit: Seems like I made a mistake. The video Does Not work. When I have a chance, I will re-convert a video for testing purposes.

I don't think this tread is good for video testing. Not now!
I don't have any big trouble with playing videos right now in these days, but when I played this video, I just getting a black screen and then I need to do a soft reset. Have now done it 3 times.
The video working nicely on my computer, but with my player, no sorry
    (Tested with FW 2003.2)

Click on the link, and enter the letters on the top right corner and click download. It's a captcha to keep spamming bots away or something...

Is it just me or what? I still can't play it.

Anyway, the movie still doesn’t work for me, even with the new Beta firmware 2004.5 I've got tested today.
I think I have a faulty Mini Player.
But all my other videos on my player work nicely. It just strange.

Over 10 months for reply? Are you seriously....
Never mind. I have since that time got an SL and just for checking it still won't play it. So yes, it’s defective somehow.
The player just go black and freezing and do a soft reset is necessary to bring the player running again.

You should change the thread headline to "How to freeze your player while playing videos!"

was wandering @meizume here looking for the Lochness ...I mean M8

"video testing" ...indeed I would read !

well , actually, I have no M6 near me to try/play this file, now a very fast look at it with VLC tells -immediatly- it won't play

if you do not own some dedicated softwares , VLC is still free and useful ; so here even though you targeted 384kbps (yet too risky for the M6) the average (average..) bit rate of your file is around 550k ; no way the M6 will play this

possibly some 'optimistic' XviD parameters (of your own)

too bad since the quality is good ; now it is no big surprise though since the compression ratio is roughly 50:1 ; things get tricky with >100:1 and more, indeed

anything above 350k is risky with the M6 ...since the cpu is quite anemic ; as for comparison a Cowon D2 can cope with up to 2Mbits bit rate ( totally useless BTW )

may this old topic ,risen from its grave , now RIP
