    I'm a bit slow...

... but I've read about puttin films on my player, but everytime I put a film in my computer and try to copy it it says that it's copy protected. How do I get it on the player? In simple steps please! I have looked through old threads but cannot find an answer.

Yeah, it's forbidden to copy a movie to your hard disk.
Google for "DVD RIPPER" to see how you could overcome this copy protection (of course, don't do it, it's illegal)

    :D

sorry, Hendrik - that's not true the way you put it, and also has nothing to do with Frescodk's problem.

Frescodk, to rip a DVD with BatMan you can do one of the following :
    - drag and drop the drive icon of your DVD to the BatMan desktop icon
    - or drag the video_ts.ifo over (not any other file !)

well, but it is true. You can't drag and drop files from a copyright protected DVD to your PC. You'll need a DVD Ripper for that. Maybe BatMan has one included, never used it.
Furthermore it's true (at least in Europe) that you are not allowed to copy your copyright protected DVD to your hard disk.

*sigh* .. drag and dropping a file in windows only evokes predefined commands, in this case it tells the explorer to execute the BatMan program with the full path of the dragged object as a parameter.

Hi and thanks for all the help. I've come some way. I got AnyDvd and that helped me be able to see my DVDs. Now when I drag the dvd file it converts fine but when I play the converted file it plays a few seconds ad then repeats them. Any ideas. Again sorry but I am a bit slow at all this.

Okay seems I've got it working for me now. Like some others I have read about I have to split the films into smaller bits. I do this with Batman by taking direct from the dvd and only converting around 5 chapters at a time. A bit time consuming but it works.
