bobbyq, yes, i read through that. that's why i tried the delay in the first place. the delay seems to have no effect at all. i've set it for over 2000 and the delay on the actual video remains the same. i'm converting this from an avi on which there is no delay at all.

i've tried this with several different files. i've only gotten one to successfully work, and it happened to be the first one i tried.

maybe you have to read again, there are two different kinds of delay. The internal one, and the mencoder switch, both serving different tasks.

Problem 6 : I want to convert a .vob and the result is out of sync.
- some vobs have an internal delay (maybe to nag some cheap illegal copycats), you can read that delay out with MediaInfo (View/Text) and look for something like :
Audio #0
Video0 Delay : -504ms
- BatMan uses an internal delay to compensate any device-specific delay (like the M6 needs about 230 ms generally). The problem is, you cannot change this delay to any negative values, so the best way is to keep this like it is and add the following :
- use special command "switch" and enter this : -delay 0.504
this will correct the skew of a source video if the sounds comes 504 ms too late.
- your switch gets saved and used automatically, so don't forget to clear it up again if you don't need it anymore (either delete the ini\lastswitch.ini or just enter "switch" again and enter a space)
[/b]
that's everything for #6. i have followed these steps, but they don't seem to have any effect.

There is the video limit that BatMan can convert, it's because of Windows bla, bla, blaa.. So isn't it easier to make BatMan read a folder wich could contain 100 videos?

I didn't fully understand your question, but you can drag and drop any number of objects to BatMan as long as these objects' full path names* don't succeed 4096 bytes. If one (or more) of those objects is a folder, it does not matter what's inside that folder, only the path name of the folder counts for that limit, not its content. BatMan will then recursively follow all subfolders and find all videos to be converted.

* e.g. "c:\Program Files\Utorrent\Downloads\myholiday2007.avi" = 55 bytes

I can't get this program to work.
I'm on the Admin acc, so that's not the problem. When I start the program it only says:
BatMan needs writing permissions ! Run BatMan with sufficient permissions or as Administrator.

As english isn't my main language, I didn't really get what it want me to do.
As I said before I'm already on the Administrator account on this computer.

Hey BobbyQ, love the encoder! simple AND effective plus it's DEEP with features. I love command line programs. when i get a little flush with cash i'll be sending some your way; via paypal so you can continue your fine efforts. i can't really see where this could be improved on, but hey, i bet you have plans.
