that's not enough info, you must set Media Info to View/Text and get output like this :
Video #0
Codec : XviD
Codec/Family : MPEG-4
Codec/Info : XviD project
Codec settings/Packe : No
Codec settings/BVOP : Yes
Codec settings/QPel : No
Codec settings/GMC : 0
Codec settings/Matri : Custom
Spielzeit : 1h 27min
Bitrate : 1065 Kbps
Breite : 640 Pixel
Höhe : 368 Pixel
Bildseitenverhältnis : 16/9
Bildwiederholungsrat : 25.000 FPS
Auflösung : 8 bits
Chroma : 4:2:0
Interlacement : Progressive
Bits/(Pixel*Frame) : 0.181
verwendete Encoder-B : XviD0039

I think you should PM me your results, this is maybe of no interest for others.

Hi BobbyQ,

Thank for the good work you've been doing here. I converted two movies using Batman. One is Buorne Altimatum (1hr 56mins) and the other is Enermy at the Gates (1 hr 37min). Loaded both Movies into Meizu M6 and begin to watch it. The audio is lagging behind the video on both movies. I played both convereted movies on Win Media Players and have the same issues. I followed your instructions in Youtube after putting the DVD in my desk top DVD player.

Please help, I travel a lot and wants to watch the movie during flights.

Thank you

Hi, you have to separate between three types of delay :

1. the M6 has a device-specific delay of about 270 ms (this is a firmware bug). BatMan compensates for that automatically (you might have noticed that BatMan converted movies play slightly out of sync on a PC. This is on purpose !)

2. once you start playing a movie that seems to be perfectly in sync at the start and then slowly gets out of sync after a couple of minutes. This is also a firmware bug, and we have not found a prior solution to this effect. However, you can get it sync again by shortly rewinding or fast forwarding. This forces the decoder to reload its buffers from the avi index.
---> from this follows that if you want to watch a longer movie, you will find yourself using the rewind function in regular intervals. I know it's not exactly fun, but in comparison to some other mp4 players, that is still bearable.

3. your movie might be out of sync even on the PC. I do not want to talk about that in deep now because you get the clue. You can still correct that with the delay methods you find in page 1 of this thread.
If your source is a DVD, read problem #6 on page 1. If you still can't correct the skew, use another DVD Ripper than the built-in one (e.g. AutoGK)

BobbyQ,

I like to post result for following your instructions to the post above.

I follow your problem fixes #6 and #8 on the first page, download the “MediaInfo” to get the Audio Delay values, and ripped various chapters from my “legally purchase” Enemy at the Gates movie. These movies have 17 chapters. I ripped the first two chapters using “set avisynth=no” in the “do this when BatMan starts.bat” file, “switch”, and “-delay” commands. I loaded both chapters on the Meizu M6SP and the video and audio matched perfectly. Next I ripped chapter 3 with out using the “switch” and “-delay” commands and the video and audio matched. I will try ripping larger chunks of chapters next. I’ll keep you posted of how it went.

Long audio lag (~1.5 minutes) problem

Greetings - I am new to the M6 and video encoding in general, so please pardon my newbie questions. I have read this thread and other in an effort to find a solution but so far without success.

My problem is this: I've used Batman to encode a VOB file ripped to my hard drive using Smartripper. Video portion works well but there is a serious lag in the audio, on the order of 1.5 minutes.

If I use AutoGK to compress the VOB to an avi, there is perfect sync.

If I use Batman on the AutoGK-created file, it does the rotation and plays perfectly on the M6. However, I'd like to avoid this extra step if possible because of the possible quality loss from over-processing.

Any advice is greatly appreciated, thanks.

so, have you read the first post of this thread, problem #6 ? Still, 1.5 minutes seems to be a totally different problem than a delay. Is there a 1.5 minute long silence in the resulting video's beginning ?

My Meizu
BobbyQ,

Thanks for your reply. I did read #6 but my thought was that this correction could only be made for small lag values, on the order of 0.5-1 seconds or so.

Your reply made me think of something I had not considered before. The file I was testing with doesn't have any dialogue for the first several minutes so it was difficult to test the synchronization.

I went back and made a test with another file, and it appears that initially the lag is about 1 second. However, it grows over time and when I checked several minutes into the film, the lag was 1-1.5 minutes.

Appreciate your feedback.
