Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsThanks, but when I do this, then the conversion fails right away. Protocol for the same video file than above looks like that:
"CharlieTheSpiderCat.flv" : all failed, I am giving up on this.

I guess that has only to do with .flv and maybe only with this very file. Have you tried other videos ?
In General, to get the most out of your .flv videos, I recommend using the flv plugin for BatMan (uses flv2avi script as preconversion).BatMan, the free video converter for Meizu players. Problems ? English First Aid here. Deutsche Erste Hilfe hier.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsAs I wrote earlier, this happens only with some FLV files. The flv plugin is installed. The video I am experiencing the problem with is from YouTube and can be found here YouTube - Meet Charlie the 'Spider cat'

you have to understand that it's impossible to support each and every video file on the net. Maybe your download program made an error.
I was able to download that video from youtube using a firefox plugin called 1-click youtube downloader and I converted it just fine with BatMan, using the flv plugin.BatMan, the free video converter for Meizu players. Problems ? English First Aid here. Deutsche Erste Hilfe hier.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI downloaded the file again (I'm using DownloadHelper btw) and now the conversion worked! The avs2wav error persists of course but finally I have some type of converted file.
And I'd like to mention that the result, as least for most of the files, is far better than what I got from MediaCoder that I used before. Die MediaCoder file had sound glitches, stuttering video and video and sound were out of sync.
Anyway, now I have a new problem: when I tried converting a VOB file, the converted file had no sound. Maybe this is due to the avs2wav error? Any suggestions for a workaround for that?

this is maybe because avs2wav doesn't "like" your pc configuration. For me (and a lot of other people) it works like a charm. Nothing much to do here - if you're really keen for it, you can setup another XP e.g. with VirtualPC.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsYes, I noticed problem #3 very well. The "Avisynth detected" message comes up, I reinstalled Avisynth and ffdshow, Windows Mediaplayer (at least Version 9 that I am using) can't play VOB files at all but PowerDVD and Divx Player can play the VOB file. With the AID not much can be wrong because Batman tells me the IDs of the audio streams that exist in the file before I enter an ID.
I assumed that in my case, because of the error message from avs2wav, avisynth isn't used at all and that this results in the missing sound.

yes, you're right. the avs2wav crashing results in no sound (naturally..). Just turn avisynth off then and it should work fine. On my XPSP3 I never see any crashes whatsoever btw ...

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsHello ,
I just bought a meizu m6 i have download all the programes batman ffdshow and avi sth.I managed to put a short clip of a movie to meizu everything ok,and then i tried to upload a a series episode with greek subs.I drag the video to the batman select quality hit enter twice and then i got this error
avs2was.exe stopped working .It pops up twice and then goes away. Also i get this error at the batman cmd console
.. not compatible with DirectShow, falling back to MEncoder ..
.. smooth playback method failed, now trying without ..
.. success.
Anyway the first time i didnt think it would affect anything so i transfer the converted avi file to meizu i clicked play and then it had a really good stuck ,I mean all the buttons were dead ,some minutes later i managed to close it and restart it and everything ok.So what am i doing wrong? and i want to know if meizu support greek or english subs , or not at all.
Thanks in advance.

Hi, so many questions ...
avs2wav.exe crashes : see page 1 of this thread, problem #8
"not compatible with DirectShow ..." : not an error message, just a status report
player freezes when playing video : keep at least 80 MB of free space on the device for buffering purposes
subtitles : the Meizu M6 does not support subtitles, but you can hardcode them into the video with BatMan. Rename your source files like this :
Batman the Dark Knight.avi
Batman the Dark Knight.srt
then drag the avi onto the BatMan icon, it will recognize the subtitles automatically.BatMan, the free video converter for Meizu players. Problems ? English First Aid here. Deutsche Erste Hilfe hier.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsHey so i read the #5 and im wondering how would i change the zoom size?
-
11-14-2009 #316
you can switch the zoom mode by entering "z". BatMan's most common options are described directly in the main menu (also "z"). Consult the internal help (enter "?") to learn about the less common ones.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI read problem 8 but i could not make the crash go away.I have edit the bat file with no effect .but i still cant make an avi episode play .Every series episode i have convert it loads at the beggining and then it goes back to the video menu. And the subs cannot play there are out of sync.

nikos, if you follow the solution described in problem #8 correctly, it is technically not possible that avs2wav.exe crashes, simply because it would not be used at all. You must have missed something. Other than that, I would suggest you ask your next questions in a private message, because I don't see any common interest in the matter (such as properly following instructions, to be precise).

hm, that's quite an exotic error message from your operating system according to the MS knowledge database. Please use MediaInfo to find out what kind of video you have and post the results here (switch MediaInfo to text format).
