    problem with video

I used the video converter to put a music video on my sons player and it shows up on the removable disk but I can't find it on the player when I disconnect from computer. Anyone know why? Thanks. By the way, I'm finding all of this very confusing...guess I'm getting old...

Have you put your video in the appropriate folder "movies" ?

try the browser on the player(in the main menu, it gives you a browser with folders and files similar to windows)

if the file doesnt show up in the browser its not on the player
even if the file is corrupt, converted wrong or a file the miniplayer cant play but is on the player it will show up in the browser

If its not there, its not on the player
If it is there but doesnt show up in the normal video menu its probably converted wrong or transferred to the wrong folder

that shouldnt be it... the convertor automatically gives the extension to it

even if the expension was missing the file would show up in the browswer as it displays all files even the faulty ones... if I am correct

you can if the file is correct...
if the file is faulty you cant and it should be deleted and reconverted or given the right extension name like you said

I am sure its a simple problem in this case

I'm having the same problem. I see the video files in the "MOVIE" folder through the Browser, but not through the main menu Videos. I used MediaCoder to covert my videos. I didn't mess wit the settings. I just picked "miniplayer" and start encode

Simply put you need to unmount the device.. i believe in windows you goto task bar and safely remove device. once it is removed you may unplug the usb.. And the file should appear.
