Thanks dude (bobbyQ)!
I re-installed and managed to get the screen for input.
Particular commands entered (D,Z... etc) but I have not seen anything executed or file being written, changed or anything at all.
No other screen popped on or basically nothing happens.
The byte count for the file is accurate.
'Am going to chalk this up for my system fault since it seems to work for others. Who knows what may prevent this working on XP and SP-2.
Thanks again for your help.
I gotta move on and played with this thing too long.
Maybe one day, someone can put an input screen together for user to check boxes as what they want to do.
I know, I know....it's simple enough, but you know how the public wants something even simpler by checking off boxes of selection on a screen. Most people don't do DOS inputs anymore.
I think am going back to VirtualDub with a combination of other program. It works lightning fast and does everything I need.
As I said earlier Badak worked like a charm for people who just wants to get things done quick, but it has kinda rough edges that one day some programmer needs to clean up.
For a novice it's a perfect program.... more less
If I had more time I would have made a user interface that looks and works in windows as most people are acustomed nowdays.
Wish I had more time to experiment with Batman, but I gotta get other things done.

Apparently you did not follow my recommendation to try it on another PC .. and the time I spent helping you would be also lost if you move on. I do not see why a computer affiliated like you can't get it running while hundreds of technically less talented can do.
You just have to drag a video onto the BatMan icon and press 5 (for best quality) and enter enter. That's it.BatMan, the free video converter for Meizu players. Problems ? English First Aid here. Deutsche Erste Hilfe hier.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsThere are few other issues that may be at play, besides the system being generally f----d up. I have this running on 2 different PC's both with SP2.
One of the problems may be some sort of antivirus / antispyware / or other security program that is set to prevent execution of DOS programs or restricts them. The other thing to check is the parameters for DOS windows, may be something there makes Batman run weird.
As an example, I have a Kerio firewall running which can be set to 1) disable all indirectly executing programs (one program starting another), or 2) ask user, or 3) allow everything. I have it set to ask, so when I drop files on Batman, then enter 5, enter, enter, the firewall would ask me if I will allow executing the 2nd program that Batman starts, mencoder, if I am not mistaken. If I were to say no, it would look like nothing would happen. So if I had it in most secure mode, it would look like Batman would not do anything.
Hope this helps.

Hi Mr, Nick. you have to put the right AID when BatMan asks you. Check the AID of a .vob with VirtualDubMod. In case of a DVD, BatMan displays a list.

hi friend. Try using BatMan's special command switch and enter the following line :
which means : Guess the encoding for Polish, fall back on cp1250.Code:-subcp enca:pl:cp1250
BatMan uses MEncoder's automatic detection by default, but that sometimes fails, e.g. if the subtitle file has no correct language indicator.BatMan, the free video converter for Meizu players. Problems ? English First Aid here. Deutsche Erste Hilfe hier.

I had that problem too. I think it was due to insufficient codecs, as after I installed the K-lite codec pack, my M6 no longer had that problem.
