Before trying any other software, try upgrading to 2.000.1 first. Then, if the problem remains you can do a search for sync problems, it has been discussed thoroughly before. Finally, if that yields no result, create a new topic under "Video and Imaging".
Can't wait to play with the Meizu MX!

Use "Audio Interleaving" in VirtualDub to fix any sync problems.

1: take a piece of the video where you have good sight on people speaking.

2: then determine if the audio is too late or too early (use positive values if the audio is too early, negative values if the audio is too late).

3: then fill in a value for example 1000 (if the audio is too early) or -1000 (if the audio too late). (1000 = 1 second)

4: look at the same sequence again and determine if the audio is (still) too late or (still) too early.

5: adjust your value according to what you've seen, you should be able to make smaller steps when you get nearer to actual right value.

6: repeat 4 and 5 until you get the audio in synch.

    7: save your file.

    I have the Dane-Elec M6 (with S1.010 FW).

I used Iriverter (18fps, 400k video, 96k mp3, pan scan) to convert a full DVD movie with subs and it works excellent!
Only 1 sec black screen when going to the next chapter and a couple small screendistortions but these are not disturbing.

I find it a nice feature to watch movies but to be for a 2 hour movie you can better watch it on your TV or PC.

Use "Direct stream copy" under the Video tab.

    Iriverter Download

    M6 Iriverter Profile

I suggest video 432kbps and audio 80 kbps for everything from movies to tv shows to cartoons. Make sure you select "Normalize the volume". Avoid manually adjusting.

NOTE: My not work with some .wmv sources. You need to convert from .wmv to something else before iriverter can convert it.
Thanks, it work very great and it's very simple !

Do you know if I can change 16:9 to 4:3 to see it on full screen on the M6 ?

    hi guys!
    i'm new here :P
i'm planning to get a miniplayer, but i'd like to have an idea on video filesizes first: how's the conversion ratio?
how much a 350MB video file would be when converted?

    many thanks in adv!

    :D

To have a good quality I am using 256kbit for video and 96kbit for audio. So that makes 352kbit total. Thats 44kbyte / sec and 2640 kbyte / minute (= 2,6MB /s).

    20 min = 52 MB

    60 min = 156 MB

    etc...

Just use Mencoder. Bundled with Mplayer or download specialized versions like the following:

    http://babgvant.com/forums/1/3420/ShowThread.aspx

I put the following command line in a batch file called conv.bat and execute like: conv movie.avi movie-meizu.avi

    mencoder %1 -ofps 18 -vf pp=lb,scale=320:-2,expand=:240:::1,crop=320:240,rotate=1 -ovc xvid -xvidencopts max_bframes=0:vhq=3:nogmc:noqpel:bitrate=384:threa ds=2:nopacked:curve_compression_high=40 -ffourcc XVID -sws 9 -srate 44100 -oac mp3lame -lameopts cbr:br=128:mode=0 -o %2

As you can see from the options converts to 18 FPS XVID with video bitrate at 384 kbps. Works well ...

the current version of the bundled conversion software for the m6
supports divx4 as well. the settings as shown on this screenshot are fine with my m6. encoding is faster than with xvid.
