Use the 'Export Bat' button so that you can see how the command line looks.
I think it might be the 'rotate' command is in the wrong place, try encoding the video again without rotating it just to see if that is the problem.

I have just tried your script and it works for me?
It plays no problem but has a minor audio/video synch problem as there is no audio delay.
(aprox. 0.28 seconds out)
Here is the command line I used with my paths to mencoder.exe and the files -
"C:\Program Files\WisMencoder\mencoder.exe" "C:\Documents and Settings\Douglas\My Documents\My Videos\The Police\Sting - Englishman in New York 1987.divx" -srate 44100 -vf-add scale=320:-2,rotate=1 -ofps 20 -oac mp3lame -lameopts cbr:br=96:mode=1 -ovc xvid -xvidencopts bitrate=320:max_bframes=0 -o "C:\Documents and Settings\Douglas\Desktop\Sting - Englishman in New York 1987.avi"Last edited by douglasmacintosh; 10-19-2007 at 12:20 PM.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI'm not sure but maybe I never tried video playback since I updated Firmware to 2.00.3 or somthing like that. Maybe I should try updating to the newest beta?

I tried it with both and it worked ok.
What about the video itself, maybe it needs the index repaired.
Have you tried another video?
I also noticed that your command line had '2' at the end - not sure what that's for and if it would cause problems.
You could also try re-installing the codecs.
If you wanted to try a better program I could help you download and install WisMencoder, it is brilliant.
Unfortunately WisMencoder does not work when you just install it, you have to replace the mencoder.exe , update the language file and make up some profiles but it is well worth the effort.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsOk maybe I'll give that a try. Winmenc pisses me off, as the older version worked flawless. I tried encoding a video with batman and it worked, but it took very long (2pass encoding) and it wasn't scaled to fit the whole meizu screen.
Can you help me please with WisMencoder?

Here is the download link to WisMencoder 1.99 setup :-
http://download.pchome.net/php/tdown...ip&svr=1&typ=0
Once you have downloaded it, run the setup.
After it is installed, go to where you have Batman installed and select the mencoder.exe file then copy it to the WisMecoder installation, it will prompt/alert you that it will over write the existing mencoder.exe files, go ahead.
Next you will need the English language file and some M6 profiles, I will zip these up and send them to you (it is just another case op copying these to the installation file).
I will talk you through things once you have downloaded and installed it.

WisMencoder English Language File
Here is the English language file and several M6 profiles that work for me, copy these to the WisMecoder directory and over write the existing file/files.
When WisMencoder starts it checks for updates but it is very quick and you only have to close the small browser window that opens up and it will not bother you again.
The other thing I did not like is when it opens up it is in a smaller window size than is required by all the things it has, I simply right clicked on the desktop icon, selected properties and the selected the option to open up maximised.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsGreat! Just tried a 3 min clip and it worked on my M6 perfectly

Seems to be a great frontend, but the translation is pretty unfinished in some parts of the program. But I guess the things I need are translated.

Yes the translation is not the best, I was still working on it, perhaps you can help, just open the language file up and edit it in notepad.
The profiles that I made are also a work in progress but as they are just now they produce excellent results with perfect video/audio synch.
You can play about with the various settings and when you find the perfect settings, go to the options menu and select 'Output' to save it in the WisMencoder directory as a profile.
I think that I have now tried every single encoder application out there and this one is the best Mencoder front end for great results, user friendliness and lots of options to enable fine adjustments.
Now put it to the test, try this site for great music videos : - http://stage6.divx.com/
Please share any good profiles, success stories.Last edited by douglasmacintosh; 10-19-2007 at 03:48 PM.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsThanks a lot again. I would help translating but I don't speak any Chinese

One question, why have your problems set an audio delay of -0.28? Is this essential for the video/audio being in sync?
-

I have found that both VirtualDub and Mencoder are out of sync by 220 - 280 milliseconds when played on the M6.
You will also find some of the profiles have two passes, this is not really needed.
There is not really any Chinese text left in the interface but some of the already translated English items are a mess, if you open the language file you will find these items and you can change them to something more readable, such as 'Rotate Right' etc.
Another good application is SmartVD which is a front end to VirtualDub and uses AviSynth to manipulate the video file prior to processing it in VirtualDub, the only problem is that it does not allow you to enter an audio delay so once you start the processing you must stop/pause it and enter the delay in the open VirtualDub window, that is why I gave up on it.
