    video dying mid-movie

In several full-length movies (originally in normal-sized DivX) that I've converted and put on the M6, I'm having a problem where the video will start playing fine, but then it will stop and return to the menu at seemingly random points in the video. In trying to play again, it seems to continue to choke at those same points.

I've tried the newest Meizu video converter (Both Xvid and DivX) as well as WinMEnc (DivX) and all have the same type of issue. I've tried dropping the bitrate down a bit but that still doesn't seem to help.

I'm planning on trying VirtualDub-MPEG2 next, but I can't find the meizu config file for it.

But beyond that, any ideas? Much appreciated.

    solution!

Just thought I'd follow up to my own thread with the solution, in case anyone else has this issue.

I have now successfully converted two full length movies that do not die mid-movie using VirtualDub-MPEG2. My config:

    - K-Lite Mega Codec Pack v1.59

    - the latest version of VirtualDub-MPEG2, found here: http://fcchandler.home.comcast.net/stable/

    - the VDub settings described here: VirtualDub-MPEG2

    - appropriate video sizing via method described here: Full length video

    - Audio>Interleaving... 280ms skew correction to fix the audio being slightly out of sync with the video when playing on the meizu. May vary by movie.

In addition to fixing my problem with videos crapping out mid-movie, using VDub has also corrected the problem i was having with full length movies not starting up on the meizu. I'd advise anyone having this issue (many people it seems) to try VDub if they haven't already.

I had a problem converting a short ~6min movie with everything except for VirtualDub.

Try this if you are having problems.
Can't wait to play with the Meizu MX!

Hey, I was wondering if the problem had something to do with the video being split in half (at some point). Because of the dual layer dvd. Half on one side, half on the other. I only ask because I've been running into this problem trying to copy my dvd's. Not to my M6, just in general.
    It's frusterating. Figured I'd ask.
