Hi,
I bought a new Meizu M6 today. First thing I wanted to do was to compare the Videoquality with my old Miniplayer. I noticed, that the videoquality was much worse with the new player (very big pixel when there is much movement).. could it be, that i need different video converting settings now?
Old player: TP - 2.003.2
New Player: SP - 2.003.2
Video was converted with the standard video converting software from the Meizu HP:
Bitrate: 384
Frame: 18
Codec: Xvid
I don't think that it is a fake. I bought it at U-Town a big electronic store in China. It also looks same like my old player. Same size, same quality.

Maybe you have used the Meizu video converter in 2 different versions meanwhile. Bulky pixels in action scenes have nothing to do with the chip or with the display but with a lower video bitrate used in action scenes.
If you want to do a quality check, I suggest to use the BatMan video converter with quality 5 (very high). This is much better than the original converter in terms of playback quality (uses 3-pass and much higher bitrates).BatMan, the free video converter for Meizu players. Problems ? i have found this site, (http://www.enet.com.cn/article/2006/...24263634.shtml) i dont't speak chinese but you can find the next butten on the right down site:D.i think that the TP (white one) has a much better color compared to the SP (black one) you can see that in the pic with the video
.and i think it was a mistake from meizu to switch from TP to SP, brightness was never a problem with the player but i heared that they changed because they got the same screen cheaper than befor
.
Greezt
PS Cant wait for the M6SE hopefully it has a 16bit screen like D2 from Cowon, but i think it has to, because it has so much video capicitys.:D sry for english^^

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI don't have any experience with the TP, but I think the SP version has a pretty good quality. Of course I'm not able to test it :P

that is interesting information, Kaori. I have always thought that the only difference between TP and SP was the Samsung/Toshiba display. But then again, there might be a different technology for the display controlling involved. Unfortunately I have no direct comparison. The only thing I know is that the cpu is the same (ARM@200Mhz). So if you use the same firmware and the same video file, the only difference could indeed be the display and its controller.
But altogether, I am satisfied with the Samsung display. If course I have seen better ones, but I wouldn't have paid another 30 Euro to get that.BatMan, the free video converter for Meizu players. Problems ? English First Aid here. Deutsche Erste Hilfe hier.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsBobby, maybe you can tell me.... What is a good video setting for SP with BatMan? Or is this also related to the video file? I don't know much about video conversion.

Q5 is optimized to give you the best possible quality. This is independent from the input you use. I have an SP display, and that's what it is optimized for. Never had a TP, so no idea what the difference could look like.
No video freak ? No problem. Just drag video(s) to the BatMan Icon, enter "5" and wait until it's finished. No setting of any kind needed. See screenshot on the BatMan page how easy it is.
For the tweakers out there, you can have a lot of fun with BatMan's zoom modes, special commands and customizable profile.BatMan, the free video converter for Meizu players. Problems ? English First Aid here. Deutsche Erste Hilfe hier.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsWoop.. I see, there aren't so many options. That is good, I think I'll understand this :>.
I'll report the result, and if there are still any differences between TP and SP.
