Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsJmel and Version01's videos are really crappy. Zenmaster and Zepperdude's ones have audio/synch problems. BobbyQ01's isn't in a good screen size, BobbyQ02's video has awful artificial colors and an audio/synch problem. For me the better and the one is MFB's video : good size, good colors, good sound and no audio/synch problems. With which converter did you realized it, i want it now !

the competition was started as " Your mission: To encode the smoothest looking video". file size, audio or anything else didn't play a role, just smoothness of playback.

The main reason for doing the competition is to test how far we could push the 20fps limitation on the M6.
Of course I like the picture to be good quality, but the point is to find a balance between quality/smoothness.
Audio comes second, but of course it plays a important role.
I will be doing more competitions testing other aspects of video on the M6. One of these will be a otherall video test including video and sound.
Hope this explains why I did it.

like Zenmaster said, to get the best out of the 20 fps limitation of the Meizu chip. The other aspects can be tested later. I was highly interested myself in finding out what the best method is to push smoothness.
Next tasks could be colours, audio, a/v-sync, sharpness, file size, overall quality. This is an emerging process of testing, and maybe in the end we get the "perfect method".
File size is for example something I don't care sh*t about. I want the best quality no matter what.BatMan, the free video converter for Meizu players. Problems ? English First Aid here. Deutsche Erste Hilfe hier.

I would like to add that it makes a huge difference if you play action scenes of a widescreen movie with black bars or a full screen movie. check it out yourself and you'll see. the chip has to do much more work in full screen, and the different used methods have totally different results when it comes to full screen.
Next competition - if you agree - should have that topic in mind.BatMan, the free video converter for Meizu players. Problems ? English First Aid here. Deutsche Erste Hilfe hier.
