    MPEG Layer-3 Issues

I'm having a problem configuring the settings on Virtual Dub MPEG2 -- in particular, I can't seem to set the audio compression at MPEG Layer 3, 128 kbps 48000 Hz.

When I first got the Meizu, and I set up VDub, I did all the proper configurations. I even made myself my personal "load profile". But for some unknown reason, my computer no longer has the 128 kbps 48000 Hz option! The highest bitrate I can set it at is 56 kbps!

I uninstalled then reinstalled Lame ACM 3.97 codec -- and yet it still does not appear. Before the original meizume site went down, I remember someone else had this same problem -- and it was a pretty quick fix. Can anyone help me now?

    Tried reinstalling the codecs pack?

Yea, I tried that. I tried installing an MPEG Layer-3 specific codec also, and that didn't seem to work either.

I had a similar problem sometimes... but with AVI files, and when i got those problems i had to uninstall all KLite and even Media Player :/

Then realized that sometimes the version of KLite can brings you some compatibility issues...

I remember i used the Mega Codec Pack twice and had same problem... be sure about your KLite and never install all codecs together.

    Last option, format your pc.

I finally figured out what I needed to do. I needed to re-install the "Mpeg Layer 3 Codec FHG-Radium v1.253" that someone had once supplied on the old MeizuMe.

Luckily, I had it stored as an exe on my computer. Here it is if others need to use it.

Are you sure you selected the Lame MP3 codec in VirtualDub?
If you select MPEG Layer-3, which is in the same list, you can't go higher than 56 kbps, 24,000 Hz.

for whom it may concern : "radium" is the hacked Fraunhofer mp3 codec (one of the first available in the early 90s), lame is lame mp3. So these are too different codecs (with lame being much more sophisticated than Fraunhofer's).
You just installed a totally different codec.

What you could have done also :
start - settings - sounds and multimedia devices - hardware - audio codecs - lame - remove
    and then re-install lame ACM.

Another For Whom it may concern. You general should set the sampling at 44.1khz if your source is such as CD or download MP3 already is. Adding the 10% more freqency will result in a bigger file and no quality gain.

    You should install:

    http://members.optushome.com.au/silv...s/l3codecx.exe
    then restart u'r pc
then disable other mp3 codecs or uninstall
only Fraunhofer IIS layer 3 CODEC (professional) v3.3.2 enabled

    BTW: vdub settings
meizu.txt change file extension to *.vcf
Use vdub version 1.7.6 build 28292

formating ur pc is dumbest thing I ever heard
uninstall all codecs in save mode & restart
    run ccleaner & restart
install k-lite mega codec pack & restart
    install http://members.optushome.com.au/silv...s/l3codecx.exe
