xvid and mp3 out of sync - HELP!!!

Ok, here we go... first off let me say that I am not a newb when coming to encoding, especially with xvid and virtualdub. I have numerous years of encoding with many different filters, aspect ratios, and degrees of compression. However, no matter what settings I attempt for my miniplayer (sp), the video will play well for anywhere from 20 seconds to 1.5 minutes, then there will be a stutter, with the audio only, (like it jumps back 1 or 2 seconds) and the audio starts playing from there again. The result is that the audio and video is now out of sync. There is a fix for this, in which I seek momentarily and the audio and video are again in sync.

I have tried combinations of 18 or 20 fps and this problem persists. I have also tried combinations of audio bitrate from 128 to 40 kbps, as well as both 44khz and 22khz, stereo and mono. Nothing seems to be causing it other than, i'm guessing here, the firmware. I currently have the most recent fimrware on the meizu site.

Again, this is not a video playing problem, the video actually looks great... however i hate having to press the seek button every minute or so. If anyone has a suggestion, or work around here, I would gladly accept any advice.

There has been quite a ramp about the synchronizing issue. I'm afraid there is not an effective solution yet (Maybe encoding videos for 2 minutes of chunks and view in consecutive mode).
