I'm having problems converting videos using memcoder. It used to work fine, but now my miniplayer freezes and just shows a black screen with a green line on the far right of the screen. I have to hold enter for >10sec to make it work again.
I tried using 18 fps, and a bitrade of 340 but nothing changed. This only seems to happen with certain videos. I could convert a video again that I converted a couple of weeks ago.
For example this Trailer. I downloaded it as an *.avi file. memcoder converted it but I could not run the file on my player. It runs fine on my computer. How do I solve this problem?!
I uploaded the converted file here
I used these settings:
mencoder Shook_Break_The_Tape.avi -idx -noodml -ofps 20 -vf scale=320:-2,expand=:240:::1,crop=320:240,rotate=1 -ovc lavc -ffourcc DIVX -lavcopts vcodec=mpeg4:vbitrate=384:vmax_b_frames=0:vhq -sws 9 -srate 44100 -oac mp3lame -lameopts cbr:br=128:mode=0 -o BreakTheTape.avi
Memcoder output after converting:
CBR audio: 16000 bytes/sec, 418 bytes/block
Writing index...
Writing header...
ODML: Aspect information not (yet?) available or unspecified, not writing vprp header.
Video stream: 370.956 kbit/s (46369 B/s) size: 41815983 bytes 901.800 secs 27057 frames

Thanked 0 Times in 0 Postscould someone please help me? I've got a couple of videos I can't convert and I'm going on a 16h car ride over the weekend. I would be more than pleased to be able to watch some movies while not sleeping/driving.

The easiest way is to download the program from here http://en.meizu.com/down_x.asp?MZ_ID=106&Type=4 and to use the meizu profile. Then you just convert all the movies you want to watch and that's it.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 Poststhanks, but it's a rar file, probably with a *.exe inside. I need a solution for linux though. I would download it and check it out, but I'm not waiting 2h for a 5mb file
