    play movies with subtitles

    Hello everybody,

I don't have the M6 player yet, but I'd like to know if the M6 is able to show subtitles (in .srt, .sub formats) while playing movies.

Or you have to overlay the subs with the movie?

    Thanks.

Sadly, you have to encode / overlay subs into the video.

    What about computing power?

It would really be cool to view text subs with the movie but I don't think m6 has enough power to do it. Just try watching an Xvid movie with and without subtitles on a Celeron 300 PC. The CPU usage will skyrocket and the video will stutter...

    Humm,
    interesting comparision...

Meizu M6, 200 MHz ARM 9 core does not have computing power of doing this....

We will never know it, if not suggested for implementing in a new firmware version...
