Video converter doesn't work:S

Hi, I have the miniplayer now for a week, but I can't watch video's.
I know I have to convert them, but it doesn't work . first i intalled the program from the disc, and i set the output setting. but when i click on start, happens nothing! And i have some AVI files on my miniplayer, but when I try to play them, they doesn't work neither. I click on the video, then the screen is flashing, and went back to front menu.

Plz Help!!

Did you ad files to the progamm to be converted?
the convertor wont convert everything
what formats are you trying to convert from?

unconverted videos usually dont work so thats no suprize

I tried to convert the movies who didn't work, they were avi. And I did some other files, but dont know what kind they are.

the program on the disc is somehow useless in my opinion. try converting videos with virtualdub or any other program, there are lots of thread about them.

Yeah i did. i used movavi video, and it works fine. But i cant watch video's on the miniplayer. He shows the movie title but when i click on play the screen flash, and return to menu

Yeah it works!, then i probably know why the player doesn't play the other movies, because the weight and height have to change.
Am i right?

damn, i tried with another video converter, but changing width &'nd height won't help.

Width and height must both be multiples of 16, and lower or equal to 320x240. Plus the 90 degree rotation, etc.

do you have the settings right?
large AVi files might cause problems

why don't you try a smaller one to see if you got it right? like a Southpark episode or something

I use the converter and it works flawlessly for me

are you sure you set the framerate to 20?

If the sample played ok then try converting with PocketDivxEncoder (freeware) you can download a copy here:

Run PocketDivxEncoder select the file input and output locations, then press the "Advanced Settings" button and load the "Settings Profile" you downloaded. Next press the "Resize" button and move the slider until the video fills the whole screen removing all blue background. Finally press the "Encode Now" button to convert.

You may also need to install a codec pack if you are converting different video formats I suggest K-Lite Codec Pack (Full) which you can download here:

I have tried a southpark episode, but the video converter doesn't react.
And ik think the settings are fine

hmm odd...
seems like either you have a software bug or you are using it in the wrong way
try uninstalling and reinstalling the converter maybe?
just a guess though...

Are you using Vista because the Meizu video converter does not seem to work wih Vista.

yes I am using Vista and the converter works just like it did with XP..

I tried a smaller file, but it won't help.

Really weird, but the file of jurassic park is working fine

what about filenames?
they must not contain special characters like ä ö ü ß (german)
or é, è (french).
