Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsResizing is not necessary, but it will save space on the player. If you have a picture smaller than the players screen (320x240) or if the picture is too "rectangular", you may want to resize them.

you can resize with Googles picture application
ist pretty easy to use
also Photoshop does a good job at it but of course is a much larger and more expensive program

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsHello,
I've got a pic problem, too.
My Meizu M6 8GB is only 6 days old. But it is not working properly. The original Meizu background pics and my own pics do not show up although they are all visible if I connect the player to the PC.
How can I fix this one bug? There are unfortunately so many of them. The Meizu M6 looks beautiful but the functionality is a disaster.
Thanks for your help.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsHi, thank you for your feedback. Sorry for not having given more information.
The original Meizu background pics are all in the PICTURES / PHOTOS folder. They are the ones which come with the Miniplayer (14 pics, all blue, and 8 pics of the player itself) All of them bitmaps.
My own pics (JPG) are not so big, they are smaller than 1280 x 1024. Resizing pics is not a problem and it is not so important.
The only thing I wish I could do is to change the default background pic. This dane-elec background drives me crazy. Since I use the player to learn vocabulary and lyrics, I have to look at the display very often and this 'dane elec' logo is quite disturbing.
See you

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsThe problem is:
The PHOTOS folder is EMPTY (!) although all the pics are visible when the miniplayer is connected to the PC. I know how to use a pic as a background, but no pic is visible in the PHOTOS folder.

Try backingup all your files then do a factory reset by holding the >> FFWD button down whilst starting the player, copy your files back and should be ok.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsUse BIMP Lite to resize because you can also set the dimensions and you can set the format as well (all jpg).

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsHi,
I am not sure that the original MEIZU pics which come with the player need to be resized.
By downloading the firmware for users in China, I could get rid of the annoying 'DANE-ELEC' logo on the display. They've got another default background free of logo of any sort.
But I wish some MEIZU pics as well as mine could show up. It seems that I am the only one user who is experiencing this bug. Poor me.
Anyway, thanks to you all.

Thanked 19 Times in 19 PostsBigger pictures?
What would happen if I use bigger pictures?
Have someone tried this?
My Meizu freezes sometimes when the pictures are bigger than 1280 X 1024!
In my manual the maximum dimension of pictures is described to be 1024 X 1024
Wonder why
But I actually now have a few pictures in 1280 X 1024 on my player and no problems here.
