Unfortunately if I want to watch video on this I have to go in and retime the audio in editing software.... WOW WHAT AN AWESOME SOLUTION for the end user.
DONT BE SUCH A FANBOY, they need to fix this issue bad, a quarter second is waaaaaay off. Just going from 30fps to 24fps completely changes the temporal feel of video so audio being off by 250+ms (1/4second) is very noticable! Unless you are a herion addict or mildly retarded. Which one are you?

If you have to convert videos before watching, which is already bad for the end user to begin with, how hard is it to add a slight audio delay? A few seconds, it really makes no difference. So calm down.
This is not a PMP. It is a music first, video second.

" Unless you are a herion addict or mildly retarded." Thats nice , These players will display video+audio perfectly to you then???
Go and cry to your mummy , Your MP4 player needs a 2 seccond job to get the audio video in perfect sync. And dont forget , The cable length of your headphone cord is a real issue to , That may put it off 2 ms aswell if its a little longer than standard.
This is a problem with all players and needs to be fixed , The iPod video has a slight issue still (To the best of my knowledge) and apple are supposed to own 80% of the market , If you were going to spend $550 then you should of reasearched these players first.

ROFLMAO
I'm just yanking your chain bro. Just thought the addict thing sounded funny, sorry
Yes the iPoops SUCK, but the Creative Zen Vision line is actually really good and handles 720x480 DivX/XviD video at high bitrates very very very well and have great screens to boot. The ZenVplus on the other hand, which is what the M6 competes with is pretty much useless with the 1.5" oled screen and large file size.
In the price range the M6 is, so far, the best thing smoking. I bought it because of the rave reviews and fan sites like this but that is no excuse for Meizu to not fix such a small issue that has a huge impact in end-user experience. I personally had great expectations for this and ......
What I had to do to deal with the A/V sync issue is as follows:
1) Open the video file in an editor (Vegas7 and PremierePro in my case)
2) On a 30fps time line, shift the audio back 5 frames (it's actually somewhere between 5 and 6, but 5 looks closest to my eyes and ears).
3) Render out the file (I output uncompressed DV cause it doesnt take much processor power and it's just going to get erased anyway.)
4) Convert the rendered file using iRiverter with the "Meizu Profile" and it looks pretty decent.
But like I said the end-user shouldn't have to go through this. I just get so pissed at companies that don't deliver what they promise. To some one like me, I'm more likely to throw it out the window than return it, but for all the kids, students and hardworking folks out there that can't afford to waste $125 on something that doesn't do what it says... That just SUCKS and I hate when companies, especially ones with such promise do this. And this is the reason I HATE APPLE and the garbage they market.
Anyways I do apologize for my jabs Lite :PEACE:

Jcolalent you should check out the Cowan D2 does video at 30fps.
I would do some searches on cown forums to see if there is any issues with video/audio syncing to make sure.
Cowon iAudio D2 ?

Thnx 4 the heads up FirePower. I was considering buying this before I saw the M6. I was actually googleing reviews for the Cowon and a couple other DAP/PMPs when I saw the M6 at walgreens.com and went down that road LOL. The M6 just looked like such a freaking amazing deal. I still think with a little tightening up of the firmware it would be an amazing product.
I think I'm just gonna wait a few weeks, pay a few creditcard bills and see what's out there then.

, You are right , it should be fixed.
But the average user cannot tell atall , and dosnt really care.
MTP Should be fixed first and then this audio sync issue.
The firmware has come along way from the start and hopefully we will see OTG Support in the near future.

To be honest with you, I've given up watching anything other than basic, lower end animation like Southpark, Boondocks and Family Guy. Watching live action stuff is just too painful!! Makes my head hurt. I ripped the Boondocks DVD using Madman's DVDCloneMobile m6 profile and it's been pretty damn watchable.

Ok, So, the guy come here and tell that the leak of sync is unoticiable? Oh, Come on! I heard a loud scram, and little later I see the singer s face screaming a loud scream.. The singer is still screaming in this face and the audio already gone. Dont come here and say its not noticiable. For sure its not noticiable to watch a anime or something like this. BUT try to see a video with closes at face and you will become very angry with the little device in your hands.
And, I fully agree with jcoleant, the most annoing is to see one or even more companies anouncing products that simple dont do what is told to customer.
Its not just annoing, its ILEGAL.
Meizu HAVE a bug, it NEED to be fixed. Its not just my player or another, its not my fault, cause I know very well how to make a video edition.
Its simple. If I knew meizu cant handle well the xvid its supposed to, I would never buy it. I feel foolished, and its realy frustrating.
And I almost forget... I read somewhere before in this topic someone telling the cable of the earphones can be a issue if they are larger than default. For this, I have just 2 things go tell:
1) Im using original earphones that came with meizu.
2) I know light is faster than sound. So, if anyone here is having audio/sync problems when watching TV, its not a TV bug, no no. You just have to sit a little closer to the TV, cause your ears are standing a little far than default.... come on!

well is there a program out there that will easily allow me to delay the audio 250ms, because that seems to be the perfect offset, without the file getting flipped/mirrored every which way and without the end file being immense.
when i use virtualdub to offset i get like an 8gb file then i use the m6converter and my video is upside down... wtf?
any welcome solutions?

tehoverlord, If you just want to just alter the audio sync in Virtualdub make sure you select 'direct stream copy' in the Video drop down menu, then set your delay and save. The whole process will take about a minute for a full length movie and the file size will be the same or even a bit less.

Looks like you're running full processing mode but uncompressing the file... check compression settings under Video > Compression.. Also.. I've managed to get a full length movie working just fine, using vdub. Audio: CBR Audio interleaved 250ms (or 280ms.. somewhere between the two) every frame, usually just direct stream copy the audio if its cbr already. Video: 20 fps @ 500kbps xvid. Works fine for the whole 2 hrs, and ffwd etc perfect too. Only issue is that the frame rate is a tad too low for action scenes...(hopefully fixed in late firmware updates)

test test test
I wonder if it helps to interleave other than the default 1 frame (is that equal to 300 ms?). I will test on one or two video files and see.
Great tip!...

We shouldn't have to fiddle with this - It should work. Longer video is unwatchable with this bug and Meizu needs to get on the ball, or stop advertising that the M6 plays video

Go to this threat

and download, all sync problems will be gone!
Plus, the program is really easy to use!
Thank you BobbyQ!
