Enter/Forward/Backward buttons not working on NEW M6sl

Ok. I've searched the forum, and I've seen 2 similar threads which nobody's commented on, but
I just got an M6 SL and out of the box I am unable to use the enter, forward and backward buttons when on the main menu. Play/pause works, power, volume and toggling between the current song and menu page works.

I've done a hard reset, a format, and tried both the 2004.7 and 2004.6 firmwares.

Any ideas? I've searched the forum and couldn't find any thing that worked. Even tried the touchpad calibrate, which doesn't seem to exist for the SL version.
