Player does not start via pressing play button

I have a m6SL player and it had some issues with water... Since then I moved on. But today I decided to play the with a bit. It is unable to turn on with holding play and is unable to rest with holding << and play or >> and play. It also does not go into DFU mode by holding M and play and plugging it in. What does work is that if I plug in a USB cable, it turns on and goes into charging mode. Some thing that I recently discovered was that if I plug in the usb and wait for it to say "loading..." and I pull it out, it boots up like normal. I have tried upgrading all the different firmwares all the way up to .7 but none of them helped the turning on issue. So as of right now, I can turn on the player if I'm near a mini usb cord with power, but if I shut it down outside, I can't turn it back... Please help.
