Hey guys,
I've searched through the forums but I can't seem to find my particular problem anywhere.
Basically, I was in the airport, I dropped my m6, however there was no problem. Sound was still playing, and the screen was still fine. Later I turned it off because I went into the airplane.
Later when I wanted to turn it on again, I noticed that the screen will turn on, but it will stay black. I cannot hear scrolling sounds or anything like that.
I have tried a soft reset and a hard reset to no avail.
is there anything else I can do, considering my problem is a bit different from most. BTW, if I connect the USB cable I can still read all the contents of the flash drive without problems.

For the soft reset, are you sure that you held the return button down long enough? You have to hold it for a minute. If that does not work try a normal firmware update ( it most likely is not hardware damage, because it worked after you dropped it). If that still does not work, try to get it replaced if it is still under warranty, or go to the thread in my signature, although I doubt it will help much. Hope this helps!

Thanked 0 Times in 0 Postshey,
Yeah Im pretty positive. I've tried holding it for what seems an eternity.
The screen goes on, and it seems to almost blink/fade in and out sometimes. The screen lights up (still only black) after a few seconds of idling, so it appears to behave like normal, only no click noises or display.
tried flashing the firmware but now my pc doesn't seem to recognise it as a disk anymore :/

Are you sure you used the correct firmware for your player? And did you use DFU Tools?

Thanked 0 Times in 0 Postscorrect firmware. I tried again, and my pc recognises it again, but upgrading the firmware still does not solve the problem.
I think the screen might be broken, despite the backlight working clearly. In the meizu faq it said to send it back to the retailer, but Im pretty sure im out of warrantee...

How long have you had it? If under a year, then it can be returned. If over, you might have to open your player and disconnect/reconnect the ribbon cable going to the screen, as the drop could've loosened the connection.
