Dead

My meizu wont turn on, just gives me a flash when I press the power button. I tried the reset buttons as well as the M+Power hold & used DFU. DFU gives me an errorr while manifesting image 1 telling me ERROR: Failed to verify device firmware. It died on me while I was listening to it (not upgrading firmware or anything) and at first it was the hold/lock switch that started messing (said player was on lock despite the switch not being shifted to lock) --then it froze and died.. lol.

any advice?

Have you double checked that the firmware you want to use with dfu tools is the right one for your player ? Has the file been downloaded correctly ?

as mine is a SP version. I guess another problem is, when I connect it (Power and M held), it doesn't recognize it as New Hardware..instead it sees it as a "USB DFU Device" & the only thing i can do w/it is "safely remove it" as if it were a USB Flash drive or something..
