    M6 SL - contents of my folders disappeared...

    Hi there,
    so I got the famous "green screen" problem - "no resource blah blah". When I connected the player to my PC, I could see the folders, but they were all empty. I searched the forums and learnt that I should download the firmware. I downloaded the M6_SL2.004.7, unzipped the contents and copied both the resource.bin and M6SL.ebn to the root folder of my meizu M6 SL player. Now when I switch it on, it shows the default skin screen, says now playing" <nothing> and the folders are completely empty. Is there a way to recover my data/music/photos/movies ?
    Thanks, hoping somebody will be able to help...

    No, the green screen appears when the player was formatted (by pressing both Play and |<< buttons).

    I think you might have accidentally formatted your player, as my zoo has stated. Do you have a copy of all your media on your computer? If so, just re copy them. If not, I'm sorry to say you have to re-rip your collection. That's why I stress for people to keep backups on their computers...

    By the way, welcome to the forums, sorry your media got deleted though.

    Well I have something but not everything
    Any chance with some recovery software? I know there are programs that can rescue some files after you format your HD, but I've never used any so I don't know....

    I believe you mean the programs that can recover your data after you have "Emptied The Recycle Bin", not if you format your player. You could give it a try though, there's nothing to lose. Hope you can get your stuff back.

    Oh great, now my player says "Connected to USB" even though it's been long disconnected and I cannot even switch it off, reconnecting doesn't do anything either. I guess I just have to wait until the battery is drained. I downloaded somethig called "Active@ File Recovery" which is supposed to be able to recover files from a HD that has been formatted but now I cannot even give it a try. :'-{
