    meizu totally deleted: please, help

Trying to mount my meizu in an iMac I did follow some instructions about it, and I did format fat32 in windows... but I forgot back up it! Yes, really stupid. Now Meizu does not load, just is stopped with the word "loading" and no more... what can I do?

    Thanks in advance

Can it still connect to a PC? If so, just grab the firmware files and do a firmware update, and you should be fine. But there is no way to get your files back, as you did a format. Hope this helps, and Welcome to the Forums!

Backup your files, get the latest firmware and reformat the player:

Press and hold the On/Off and |<< buttons together until a violet screen "low-level formatting..." appears.
The next message you'll see is "No resource..." on a green screen.

Now you can copy the firmware files in the root directory of the player (don't turn off the player when the green screen shows up).

Make sure that none of your music files are corrupted or improperly encoded.

The USB-mode should be set to 'MSC' in the M6 menu ('settings').

Then it is in MSC - mode anyway (if you use 2.004.6 you can find a newer version for SP here and for SL here).
Did you check your USB- connection (no HUB, another cable or port)?

Whoops, are you sure you used the correct firmware? You might have used a firmware intended for another player version, see if following the steps in the guide in my signature helps. Most likely you will have to use DFU Tools. Hope this helps!

    Thank you, mbarry.

The firmware I used it was the one which was linked by "my zoo" for the m6 SL.

The problem with the steps of the guide it is than I can not acces to update the M6 because it is dead, do not connect to the pc and do not response to any press of the buttoms.

I'm sorry to hear about your dead player.

Something must have gone wrong during the firmare update (are you sure you used the right version?).

If you cannot access the player through your PC and none of the resets work I can only give you the advice to read the threads about DFU Tools mindfully before you use it because it might finally kill your player if handled improperly.

I never had to use DFU Tools, so i can't tell you how to manage it.

Here, do this first, Hold down the M and Power buttons at the same time and DO NOT let go. Keep on holding them while you plug your player into your computer. Again, DO NOT let go. Does your player get recognized as a DFU Server?
