Try formatting from the player itself. Right after you press the Power button, quickly switch to pressing the << button (Previous Track button). You should see a screen saying "Formatting..." After it is done, you should get a green screen saying "No Resource!" After you get the No Resource, plug your player into your computer, and you should be able to see it as a drive in My Computer, and be able to put stuff in. Now, download the correct firmware for your player (TP, SP or SL, it says on the back of your player i.e. SN:m6sl**********, and that tells you you have a SL). Search the forums for the firmware version your player corresponds to, and download the file. You might need to extract the file, as it is in .zip or .rar. Then, put Both the M6.ebn, and the resource.bin files you extracted into your player's drive in my computer. Then safely eject your player, and reboot your player. It should turn to a white screen, and just leave your player somewhere for 5 minutes untouched, and when you come back, it should be fine. Hope this helps, and Welcome to the forums!

I have formatted it in the first place cause it got frozen when I accidentally tried to turn it on while it was locked.

First,to mbarry,thank you so much,you are quite a gentleman
Second,it's "her" name
Third, fixed the problem, don't know quite how, did't use dfu.I have tried all kind of formatting before posting this post but it didn't work... went to "usb mode" and changed the setting there...why?
well...why_not?

than the comp gave me the option to formatte it again and I did it..

To make the long story short, the problem is 95% fixed, some stuff bother me still but I can live with that.

Thank you for advices,kiss

What are the minor probelms? If they are just software bugs, try updating your player to the most recent firmware. There is a link to a guide in my signature if you do not know how to update your player, just skip to step 2. Hope this helps!
