As the title says, the Meizu is bricked so completely it's unfixable.
Was updating firmware (it was the correct one, I'm sure of that) everything went fine, it updated software, then shut down, then I restarted it and it claimed to be formatting the drive.
After it formatted it claimed resource couldnt be found. So I guess I just plugged it into the computer and put the resource file into the root folder.
Bad idea, next time it turned on it was pretty constantly flashing white. So I Hard Reset the hell out of it. And the screen was stuck white thereafter.
So I shut it down and tryed turning it on again, nothing. Connected to the computer, nothing. There is no two combination of buttons pressable on the device for longer than 30 seconds that do anything at all. The computer doesn't even recognise a device is plugged in.
DFU tools placidly sits there as if nothing is plugged in, regardless if buttons are held down. The computer doesnt react as if I had plugged anything in at all. It seems to be well and truly bricked.
Try following the guide in my signature. Are you sure you hold the M and Power buttons down and then plug it into your computer without letting the two buttons go? It's not hold the two buttons for 30 seconds, rather it is holding the M and Power buttons throughout the Whole process. Oh and the white flashing problem, I got that one time two, and I a m sure I used the correct firmware as well, I believe it's just a bug. Oh and Welcome to the MeizuMe Forums, and I hope we can get you player back on track.

Oh yeah Im positive I held them down prior to plugging it in, after plugging it in, upsidedown and backwards for as long as the muscles in my hand could stand. DFU remains unchanged whatever I do.
I have tried it on two different computers, one a Windows Vista Ultimate and the other a Windows XP Home. Both are legit genuine copies.
Nonetheless Ill try again on both a few more times before I give up. Shame about the meizu though, loved that thing.
I tried updating my FW, because i had the one that restricted the FM Radio, but before i installed the firmwire, i downloaded some skins from the Meizume download page.
Everything was working perfectly, until i downloaded the updated FW, when i tried turning it on, the screen turned white & flashing. Ive tried all the resets, sticking a toothpick through the small hole by the side. Ive even tried the whole DFU issue. Not worked. I didnt let go of the Power/M button & nothing.
Plz Plz help, i can't lose the mp4 player, not at this stage of my life, i don't even have the money to fix it, let alone buy a new one.
Plzzzz
P.S: Mbarry, i've tried your DFU help, but still nothing.. I beg you plz HELP!!!!!
Update: When i got the white screen which was preceded by a white band across the screen, i held down the M and Power button at the same time. The computer recognized the player and had updated the firmware.
issue resolved
Hi guys, I'm yet another one with this bad problem.
Basically, I just formatted the player via |<< during the "Loading..."-screen. When I turn it on again, it goes to the Loading screen and then to the black screen with a grey bar on the top. When I connect it to USB at this point, nothing happens. When I turn it off again and connect with DFU, the computer can't find a device too. I definitely held down M and Play.
What exactly did you do when you got it working again?
