M6 not formated in XP

I tried to downgrade my firmware back to 1.010 from 2.001.

But now the player just says formatting when put on.

I cant connect to the player because windows said that the player is not formated. formate it? "yes" or "no".

I dont know what i can do now.

Please help, i love my meizu!

Its the 4 GB, SP edition

DFU-Tools cant locate the player.

Try to let Windows format it and reinstall the firmware.

I formated it with Windows.

I played Firmware on it but now its the same problem.

Formatting...

Please wait... since 10 minutes now.

If that's the case I can only recommend DFU Tools.

If is start DFU tools after i formated it, there is no device to choose. What must i do?

I did the same again, formating -> 1.010 SP fw...

start -> no response...

now the display is black... but i can hear it working... but anything i do i get no response of the player... no usb contact to the pc, no battery loading...


argh...

Read the entire thread of DFU Tools, you might find a solution. Here is a similar problem.

Yes, i bought it just 3 weeks ago at an ebay superseller.

Am I still covered by warranty if i tried to change firmware? I searched about it, but i couldnt find anything.

I tried the instructions at the DFU FAQ + Threads...

It doesnt work... the DFU Server cant recognise the Player as a device. But in windows i can see the player.

Hey guys,

i post the newest status of my lovley player.

- The player always wants to fromate itself.
- If the player is stuck at the formatting display, i can use On + << to the low lever formate...
- if i do this again the player gets to no ressource.
- after that i can access on the players drive
- if i paste the FW (i tried nearly every FW i found for sp) the player restarts and starts to formate again.

DFU does not recognise my player (dunno why, i tried ON + M... the windows sound for inputted hardware came, but DFU does not set the player as device)

i need help using the DFU Server.

I cant even use hard reset, it doesnt work.



I bet on you guys.

I got a similar problem with the testing firmware, i had to let it resting for 5-6 hours after trying several times with the different combinations of ON+M, ON+>>, ON+<< and it worked.
It worths a try :D

Two things:
1- Are you using the SP version of DFU tool?
2- Have you copied both files of firmware (Resource.bin and M6.MBN) in the installation folder of the DFU tool?

Could you please explain what you have exactly done?

Basically tried Reset, Hard Reset and Low Level Format for than 5 times each (more than 10 seconds). It was weird cuz each time i plugged my player it was recognized as a USB device so i was able to format the memory and even sync with WMP11.

As i said, i just let it resting (needed to sleep :D) and the next day i realized it was fixed.

today i tried it at my fathers computer with the dfu-tools... it worked!

im so glad to see my menu again
