Try letting battery go flat and then recharge and try loading firmware again or DFU. If it powers on try resetting or formatting by holding enter or arrow keys down for 30s or so.

    ok... try the DFU.
It does work but its tricky to use

it important you keep the power and M button pressed ALL THE WAY THROUGH the installation of the firmware.

    So:
    0) put the firmware you want to install in the folder where you installed the DFU tools(make sure they are unzipped of course)
    1) press and hold power + m (dont let go untill your done!)
    2) plug in usb
    3) the comp will recognize the player
    4) start DFU tools
    5) Download firmware, wait till its done
    6) you may now release the power + m button
    7) close DFU tools

    Hi,

i've the same probleme after upgrade my SP Meizu with A TP firmware version ( i know i'm stupid pshhhhhh ).... i lost my life without my meizu...help meeeeeeeee, please.

I downloaded DFU tools which must have had an older version of M6.bin and I got the white screen which I believe means I downloaded the wrong FW version. So I redid the DFU tools sequence with the most up to date FW and now I get a "ERROR: failed to communicate with device" and if I try to run it again I get a "ERROR: failed to verify device firmware"
Do you have a solution ?? .... it's my seconde meizu.... the first one was stolen 1week ago ... and this one arrived in my hand just 3days ago....

    Help i can't swimmmmmmmmmmm !!.......in this case that's real ... d(T_T)b

    Thanks in advance
    cheers.

Ps : i've the dan-elec Meizu and windows vista... i think i'm gonna returned the Meizu to "Amazon" i have 30 days for do it....

edit : not really the same probleme, mine is the famous "white screen"

I'm having a similar problem but my M6 won't even turn on. I press the on/off button but nothing happens ( no white screen flash). My comp doesn't recognize my player when I try to use DFU tools. Any tips? Thanks.

Some say that only Intel based computers use DFU tools properly.

I guess you have followed all the steps correctly and was constantly pressing/holding the necessary keys?

I am following these steps. I am stuck at #3 though. My m6 isn't detected by my comp. I tried plugging it into my wall adapter and it doesn't work either. This happened after I flashed to 2.001.1. I was changing the names of my folders to get my album art to work and then I played one of my existing playlists. My m6 then crashed, then I reset the player (held enter for about 10 secs). It turned off and now I can't turn it back on. sigh..make sure you update your playlists if you change names for you folders!

if it doesnt turn on at all maybe its totally out of juice?

try connecting it to the USB port for a few hours.

Once it happened to me that the comp didnt recognize the player, neither did it seem to charge and the player was absolutely dead, not a sign of life

after a while of charging it just popped back on...

    EDIT:
we posted at the same time.

If your comp doesnt recognize the player at all if you keep the power and M button pressed its maybe out of juice.
one thing to check: your Hold button isnt on right??

#6 and #7 It is the mother board that's interesting, since the cpu, don't have anything to do with USB.
So #7 what motherboard do you have?
Side note: you have to much money... x6800...
