hmmm ok so your player doesn't function...
you get no sign of life at all?
battery wasn't empty?
as also this is a firmware problem I am sure it can be fixed...
try loading your layer for a few hours
try restarting it
after that try DFU with 1.010 frmware ofcourse be sure to pick the correct version of it
follow the DFU instructions carefully
if that doesnt work... come back

I have the exact same problem now after about 2 weeks of loving my Meizu (don't worry baby, I still love you!).
Was walking to school today, listening to a song, and all of a sudden the song warps/distorts and then stops. Take the player out of my pocket, totally black screen. Nothing works, not Reset, Hard Reset or Memory Cleanup.
Tried DFU Tools, stuck at #3 like the other guy - Windows makes a "USB connected sound" but nothing happens and the player doesn't register in any way.
Just thought I was clever, but this didn't work either (but might work for some of you):
[Right-Click] My Computer icon on Desktop.
Choose Properties.
Click on Hardware tab.
Click on Device Manager.
Find USB-Controller on list.
The Meizu should show up as "USB Storage Device" or something similar.
Double Click it (it might have a yellow triangle next to it).
Go to the Drivers tab.
If you click on the Update Driver button, you're basically at step #3.
If you click Remove, Windows will notice the device on next connection.
My problem is that windows tells me "there is no better driver at this location" when I tell it to look in the DFU folder. If I manually tell it to use the driver in that folder, it says "no installation info for your device in this file" or something like that. Removing the driver and connecting again doesn't help either, Windows just chooses its own driver (usbstor.sys) and doesn't ask me to choose one myself.
I guess my only option now is to just charge and wait, but the player has been charging all night so power really shouldn't be the problem. Oh, and the Hold button is NOT on =)
Cross fingers, please.

Same problem here, I think the problem is 2.001.1 version, i just updated my M6 in the morning. And suddenly (with full battery), some hours later working properly, the buttons were blocked and in shut down by itself.
Same as others, black screen, PC dont recognize it, cant charge, cant use DFU...
I still keeping faith

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI too think it is the 2001.1 firmware. My m6 "died" again but I was able to get it to work again. Before I upgraded my firmware I didn't have any problems with it.
EDIT: What worked for me this time was leaving my meizu alone for a couple of days and then it worked again.Last edited by sephiroth8748; 02-26-2007 at 03:47 AM.

Hi guys, my M6 is also basically dead. The screen flashes white when I press the play button, but once I release it the screen is also off. Nothing else works. Reset and hard-reset don't work either. I tried using DFU Tools with the T1.010 firmware (I can't find the T1.009 firmware anywhere), but it seems like basically nothing happened. It downloaded the stuff and I disconnected it, but the problem was still there.
Please help me :D

Unfortunately I can't download the file, it says that I can't access the file at the moment
In the FAQ for the DFU tools it says that the 1.009 firmware version would grant the best results, so I thought I should try that out.
