Hi, I am a linux user and i am looking to buy and MP3 player which supports OGG vorbis, i know that there are Meizu players that do but i want to know if the software that comes with the player will run on linux and if it will not, will the player itself work as a normal USB drive and accept music files from a linux machine??
(i also live abroad and trying to read the specifications in the shop in Czech is a tad difficult
Thanks

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsHi stripes152.
I have an M3 and an M6 SL and both are seen as a standard USB mass storage system under my Debian etch. So there shouldn't be any problem using these players with any ~up-to-date linux system.
I don't have any experience with the .ogg though.
Cheers,

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsWhy wouldn't accept files from linux when it's recognized as a regular mass storage device?? It doesn't matter if you transfer an ogg file from Ubuntu or Windose, it's still the same file.
Anyway, everything works perfect with my M6 and Ubuntu.

Thanks for your input. Next time, please perform a search as this question has been answered ~10 times already.
Also, please post it under the correct forum. You have now posted it under Feedback, as in how we should improve this site. Can't wait to play with the Meizu MX!

Thanked 0 Times in 0 Postsin response to taling hallenthur, thanks for the information but there was no need for the sarcasm, that is exactly the answer i wanted because that was the piece of information on the specifaction that i didnt understand becasue it was in the Czech language!
and as this is the feedback forum... i did do a search and i only saw the search results the second time i looked, the first time i saw them they looked to me as if they were "also found by google links" maybe to avoid this happening again you should change the colour of them or somthing.
also as i was trying to solve these issues in my lunch break and i didnt have so much time i found it quite difficult to decide which forum i should be using, i am sorry for the mistake but again it could be clearer for a new user
i hope this helps
and again i am sorry for posting in the wrong place, i wont do it again, but i may be back as i did by the M3 music card this morning and i am so far very happy and have had no problems with the linux OS at all!
