If DFU is not working as it suppoed to work...

I have a SP 8 GB M6 and happen to be experimenting with it quite a lot. Firmware upload, skin change, FM.ini exchange, album art, lyric show, you name it, I've done it.

With a lot of stupidity, I almost bricked my meizu. The reason is quite simplistic: FM.ini was more than 50 lines long.

But it did not load again. Then without patience, I reset, hard reset, factory reset it, no luck. Just a flashing when I press the play button.

Then the formidable DFU tools came into play. With the advice I tried it with firmware 1.009. It worked as it was supposed to but no results.

Then I opened / disassembled the meizu m6. Don't do it. Useless to see the inside. You have got nothing to do with the ribbons unless your battery runs out and you find the exact replica to change it. Result: Scratches everywhere. It doesn't matter that much, already two years old.

Finally, I tried DFU with the last firmware I was using it. Firmware number 2.004.6 did the trick. Then the green screen came back. IT'S ALIVE! IT'S ALIVEEE!!!

I suggest the same if you happen to have no luck with DFU tools. The original old firmware was pretty much useless in my case. The one I was already using was the key. mbarry, could you by the way, add this to your guide to bricked player please? Maybe just as another option.

p.s.: I am normally using Vista x64 on my desktop. A bootable litexp was all I need. However, it takes tooo long. Has anybody ever heard of an x64 driver?
