SL stuck on Update Music Library - nothing working

Got my SL the other day, had a grey bar at the top, so I recharged a bit, then powered back on and it was the green resource screen, so i updated the firmware. Then it started normally, plugged into usb to charge and transfer. When I unplugged, it was stuck in usb mode, so I enter-reset, then it started up, and began updating music library. Right as it was almost a full progress bar for updating the library, it stopped. I waited a bit then did another enter-reset, and it restarted, but this time froze much earlier on the update music library. Now I can't get it to do anything else.

When I plug into usb or wall outlet, I get 'charging' but it won't mount to the computer via usb. I've tried the enter and enter->> resets but doesnt do anything. I've tried fully recharging, and leaving it completely on, but that seems to do nothing either.

Finally I opted for DFU, at best that always fails when trying to enumerate (message: failed to enumerate device). I've tried both SL firmwares, and both versions of DFU (first the SL specific one, then the samsung on -- can't get the samsung one to even give me the download option).

I've never been able to actually listen to music on this device. I'm out of ideas on what I might be able to do to get it working. Any ideas?

    Thanks

Welcome to the forums. You know that you shouldn't update the firmware as soon as you get the player, right? Since a no resource screen doesn't appear by itself, it happens after an upgrade or a skin change.

Follow this very carefully, and exactly as it says, and it should be fine:
    Updating the MiniPlayer Firmware

If that doesn't work, use only this as a last resort:

Keep us posted on what's happening.

Did you read exactly what he posted? His action was right, he should have updated the firmware. Nothing wrong with that.

Welcome to the Meizume Forums The3rd. Try leaving your player at the "frozen" updat music library screen. It should finish about an hour later. This should only happen once, not everytime, so don't worry. If that doesn't work, follow JkPwNsTeR's advice.
If you are having trouble with your player, please visit this thread first and try the steps before you panic. Most likely you will be able to fix your player easily using the steps listed.

Yes, he should have updated the firmware after the green "No Resource" screen, but it shouldn't just come with a green screen.

Yeah, he probably should get it replaced, but if everything is working fine, who cares?

Just wanted to mention, this was solved. It was a bit of user error, I was doing the reset commands while it was still on, not when the player was off.
In my defense, most of the guides for resetting don't clarify this (the meizume FAQ does tho). Thanks for the posts, it was at least enough motivation to re-retry the basics.
