Hi,
About two weeks ago screen on my M6 went white. I didn't care that much until it played songs. Well, now it stopped doing that, so I thought it's time to use DFU Tools. I've done everything according to the instructions, but after the file is uploaded and so on the screen is still white as it was before.
Can someone please help me with this problem? I wouldn't want to get rid of this player as the sound quality i excellent.

Welcome to the MeizuMe Forums. Did you use the correct DFU Tools? The SL requires different DFU Tools than the SP or TP versions. You can search for "Found Working DFU Tool SL". Go to that thread, and you will find DFU Tools, and instructions for DFUing your M6SL. However, when you plug it in, is it recognised by your computer? If it is, just get firmware from en.meizu.com, go to the downloads section, find SL Firmware (Not TP or SP) download the files, Un Zip or Un Rar the files if you need to, plug your player in, put the M6SL.ebn, and Resource.bin into your player. Restart your player, and all should be well. Hope this helps.
If you are having trouble with your player, please visit this thread first and try the steps before you panic. Most likely you will be able to fix your player easily using the steps listed.

Headphones: SoundMAGIC PL-50s, Auvio In-Ear Armatures, Bose QC-15s.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsHi,
I've been using exactly that version of DFU Tools. I tried uploading the firmware (yes, the SL version) into the root directory as well, as my M6 is normally seen by the computer, but neither DFU nor uploading the firmware repaired the white screen thing.
For some reason I can only use 2004.6 firmware. The player does not start on any firmware prior to that.

So does DFU work? If your player can now connect to the computer normally, just get the most recent FW and put the two into your player's drive in my computer. You're all set.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsYeah, player can be connected to the computer and I can upload the firmware, but as I said before it doesn't help at all. I've still got the white screen.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI'm having the exact same problems, except I got rid of my white screen but nothing is working .
My computer does not recognize or even know that my Meizu M6 SL is plugged in .
I've used three different USB cables because the one that came with mine only works for 40 seconds and stops .
I've fully charged my mp3 but I can't turn it on .
I've never been able to turn it on the minute I got mine .
I don't know if I'm using the DFU tools right because I think I didn't download the right DFU tools for SL but I'm still scared it won't work .
What can I do to make mine work, I've been trying for months .

If it arrived broken, why didn't you return/exchange it?

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsWell first I tried searching up things to see if was just something I was doing wrong, but it wasn't .
So I emailed the place I bought it at and they kept telling me to "re set" it, and I thought it was by holding the play button for over 12 seconds like it said in the book, but it wasn't .
They said to take a pin and put it in the re set hole, which does not exist .
And I told them I'd like to return in because they weren't helping me, but they haven't replied back .

I'm pretty sure that it's just missing a resource, I've had that black screen, but still able to play music problem before. All I did was plug back into computer, grab the firmware files from en.meizu.com, and put them into my player's drive in my computer, and rebooted my player, worked fine for me.
