The root folder is actually the place where you see all those other folders. Just place the resource.bin in there and unplug, turn off and then on again.

Quinny is correct, just place the resource.bin file and the M6Sl.ebn file into the place where you see MUSIC, PICTURES etc. All should be well. Make absoloutly sure, however, that the Resource.bin, and M6SL.ebn are a set from the same software. If you are not sure, go to en.Meizu.com, go to the downloads section, Pick a SL Software, not TP, or SP , download them, and put those into the root of your player. Hope this helps.
If you are having trouble with your player, please visit this thread first and try the steps before you panic. Most likely you will be able to fix your player easily using the steps listed.

I mean no disrespect, but doesn't the FAQ take care of this?

    Please read here.
Follow the instructions carefully, and exactly as it says. Your player should be fine after that. Also, if your firmware never had problems, you should upgrade it, or read the feature list to see if you need anything.

Did you read what I wrote Carefully, and follow Exactly? Because that's the problem with Meizu players, they need for you to do everything exctly, only a little room for error because they implemented DFU Tools.
