I've owned the player for several months and it has generally worked well. I have lost my music a few times though. It can be touchy to eject from the computer (don't know if this is Mac-specific) and occasionally I've gotten the "improper device removal" message and that's when I've lost my music.
I've always been able to fix it though by pressing the on/off button and the "|<<" button at the same time and then reloading the firmware.
This time the Meizu won't power up at all. I get a quick flash when I press the on button but that's it. I've tried a hard reset and a soft reset but no luck. I don't know if the DFU tool will work on a Mac or if this is what I need to do but I would appreciate any help.
Thank you.

Try to get ahold of a PC, from a friend etc. Then run DFU Tools. Make sure you use the SL DFU Tools, not the SP/TP.
If you are having trouble with your player, please visit this thread first and try the steps before you panic. Most likely you will be able to fix your player easily using the steps listed.

Headphones: SoundMAGIC PL-50s, Auvio In-Ear Armatures, Bose QC-15s.

Thank you for your advice and prompt reply.
Probably my fault but it's still not working. I tried it on a PC with Vista. It did show up as a "Blues USB Device" but I must have made a mistake in the process somewhere and I tried to do it again but it doesn't show up on the computer anymore. Is it too late to fix it?

Try holding down the M and Power buttons firmly, and plug in. Does anything show up?

Hi
I just tried and my fingers ache!!! My screen still does that quick flash when I try to turn it on but it's not showing up on Vista when I press the M and the power button and then plug in.

You have to hold them BOTH firmly for the duration of the DFU.
