Dead Meizu M6 Mini Player SP Version

My Meizu M6 SP shows only a quick white flash when pressing the power button. I tried everything just like everyone else on the forums with dead meizu players. I even tried the dfu tool. My computer only recognizes my player as a USB DFU DEVICE when I hold the "M" button and "Power" button when connecting it to my computer. I need to get it to show up as a drive under mycomputer/explorer. Can anyone help me or give me some advice please?. I can not return it, it's been over 2 years since I had it. I'm looking for a fix. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!.

And yes I'm only trying SP Version Firmwares. Mostly s1.009 or s1.010

It was my daughter and she says nothing. You know how kids are. She might of pressed the firmware button when connected to computer but didn't have any firmware lol who knows. All I know is there is just a quick white flash and it only shows up as a dfu device and will not accept any firmware I try to load on it.

Dead M6 as well

Search the forums for "white flash" and see if you see any other solutions.

hold up. f it gets recognised as a DFU device you are almost there! Just search DFU Tools in the forums. Download DFU Tools, and follow the instructions carefully. Please, Please, Please Get the SP firmware when using DU tools, not the SL, or TP, and Please keep the Power and M buttons held down firmly UNTIL and only UNTIL the process is done, and you have safely removed. Hope this helps.

I have already used dfu tools a hundred times and I also been using only sp firmware which is what my player is. Also after using dfu tools and trying to download the sp firmware it automatically makes that unconnected sound when the player is removed by the computer, so no need to safely remove. Any other suggestions?.

Thanks!.

Did you put the M6.ebn into the root of your DFU Directory? If that doesn't work use the S2.003.2 firmware. That has worked for me. I haven't tried any of the earlier versions that you are using.

Is this how you put it into the dfu root directory?. If so then yes. I'll try other firmwares but I already tried them all once before. Let me know please if this is where I'm supposed to put the firmware files or not. Thanks!.

No. You put it in the DFU device's (the MiniPlayer) root directory (the first folder when you open the miniplayer).

And how am I supposed to do that when the player is dead and it only shows up as a dfu device when I hold the Power & M Buttons when connecting it to the computer. It doesn't show up as a usb drive to put them in there like your saying. If I'm wrong please explain then!.

I meant use the DFU tools interface to upgrade the firmware. There should be somewhere where it says "firmware".

DFU stands for "Device Firmware Upgrade" by the way. It's not well known, there's not even a Wikipedia article on it!

No, tmeizu is right. A DFU device does not show up as a removeable drive. tmeizu, where you are putting the firmware is correct. Make sure you have Administrator rights on your computer, and re-try. Try using S2003.2 it has worked best for me.
