Last i heard, the TP came with USB host function, if this is true i would definitely get the TP, so i can transfer downloaded podcasts from my phone.

Also do they use a different DSP chip, if so which is best.

I don't think that the question was already answered expicitely. It would no big deal to say NO, if so.

TP and SP are same in all functions. One and only difference is with used LCD. TP have Toshiba and SP have Samsung LCD. As I know, TP was stopped in production, but maybe still go on on CHinese market.

Being basically the same as the one given by Blackstar in the second post of this thread:

*Less hiss vs TP version? (i've seen less people bitch about this model)
*SP uses a different firmware set
    Is it clear enough?

I read some articles here about USB host.
It could be possible if there would be a firmware supporting it. It makes no difference between SP and TP. Am I right?

    OTG you mean?

In that case, is not implemented on miniplayers, not TP nor SP, since they both have the same functionality.

OTG is a functionality, the hardware needed to do it is in the miniplayer. The use of the external battery case is for:
    - Provide a full USB port to be able to connect USB memories.
    - Provide energy to the attached device? (not quite sure about this one, since the other device could be powered by the player itself).

When i say not implemented, i mean that miniplayer is capable to do it, but firmware is not yet written or is currently disabled, there are not different external battery case models released is just one model and it ain't more than just an external power source/extra full USB port.
