M6 dose not go into USB mode when plugged into my PC

When I plug my M6 into my usb port, it will only charge and not go into usb mode. I have the player on when I plug it into my computer. Also I have set the device back to the factory settings, that is there is nothing on the player besides the firmware. Please Help!

Make sure to turn on the M6 before you plug it into your computer. When it's off, it will only charge from the computer, when it's on, it'll go into MTP/MSC mode instead. (And charge)
If you want to see the player as a removable disk, you need to select MSC mode in the settings. MTP is to manage it with for example Windows Media Player or WinAMP.
Also check another USB cable, the one you use might be faulty.

Speeder, I much appreciate the help, But I clearly stated that I do have the player on when I plug it into my PC. I have tried 2 different USB cables and the M6 is MSC Mode when I am plugging it into my computer. It seems like there are not too many options, and this must be a defective m6. I would try to update the firmware from the m6, but then I am afraid that I will never be able to put any firmware back on the device because the computer will not recognize it. Anyone know if there is anyway I can send it in to get it repaired?

I think you could give DFU Tools a try still tho. I think it would either work or not at all.

Speeder, I dont belive I am familiar with DFU Tools. Do you mind explaining(maybe i'm just dumb). Also I have tried another PC, it had vista on it.... But I will try another PC just to make sure. If I have my cell phone plugged into the same USB cable it works just fine, along with my camera, but it only charges when i plug in the M6.

ok, now My M6 will not power on or do anything whatsoever. Is there any way I can send this in, its not even 3 months old/?

Your guarrantee should be with your reseller. If you bought it online, you should ask whoever you bought it from if possible.

As for DFU tools, please look at the FAQ on top of this web page. It explains in a detailed way how it can be used and you can find the correct DFU tools for your version of the M6 on these forums.
M6.EBN is the firmware file, you should download the latest firmware package for your version of the M6 from these forums too. Please take care in choosing the correct version as using the wrong version firmware will result in a non-working M6, and then you need to DFU it again.
DFU might not work on first try.

Maybe your pc have a virous ....
or your pc's denfense software prevent the m6.....
or restart your PC
press DElETE to enter the CMOS setting
choose PNP/PCI CONFIGURATION menu ,
set PNP OS Installed -----yes
Assign IRQ For USB-----Enabled

just try it!

you don't need to send it anywhere..just push buttons m+on/off and when take to the pc..where must be outcome message..not recognize or something,so just read the pc sync,
you must press on that yellow table on the bar of the bottom of pc,then se unrecognize port drives..u must install on your pc's the correct meizu dfu tools and u will be asked to the output folder get in.when press download... one more time to understand clearly read the instructions..write when pc recognize

)..it could be,that u must use dfu tools..but i repeat you must touch that keys..it is important

sor, not on the table, but on the unrecognized device..there must be,on windows right side on the bottom..sorry my English isn't so well ://..an press and hold all the time that keys..while connecting to pc..

DO THIS..AFTER THAT U MIGHT USE DFU TOOLS..MABY NOT,

Press and hold Power button and M button, then connect to PC using the USB cable.(MUST APPEAR THAT YELLOW TABLE-->NOT RECOGNIZE)..IF IT DOESNT APPEAR AND WINDOWS CLINCK U HEAR,WHEN USE DFU TOOLS...
Before that Windows New Hardware Wizard will appears, asking if you want to connect to Windows Update to check for drivers, click on “No, not this time”. Click on next.(sometimes u must on your own to reinstal that drivers without this permission)
The next screen of the wizard asks if you want to install automatically or using a specific location (advanced). Select the advanced option, and then click next.
Check the 'Include this location in the search' option and specify the directory where DFU Tools is installed, after that, click next.

Just out of curiosity, did you try another cable? If it isn't the cable, then the USB port of the Miniplayer is broken. That's what happened to mine a couple months ago.

Cable is good, the USB port in player (probably) is broken. What to do? I'm from Poland, I bought my mini player on liaow.com, I have guarantee (player has 1 month)
