Player sometimes turns off after song

Hey all,

I get this problem every now and then. I'm playing music and then after a song is finished, I'm waiting for the next song to begin and it never does, because the player has turned itself off. I have to turn the player back on and then it will start playing the new song. It's not the battery coz most of the time it's full but it never happens in the song always at the end as it's changing to the next one. Any ideas?

Thanks

vanderlan

It could be a firmware bug, try updating your firmware.

It could be that you play your music using the BROWSER function without REPEAT ALL. Then the player will shut down after it played all tracks (in the chosen folder).

I have the same problem and it started yesterday. It turns off after a song is finished. It isn't after every song, it happens after a few songs has played. I bought mine in october last year, is there a new firmwhare update avaliable already? Where can I get that and when I update will everything (all my music) get lost?

And: "repeat all" is on, but I know that this isn't what it is about, because it doesn't turn of until I have played a few songs.

Even if that would be the case, wouldn't it still be on for 3 mins before it turned off via sleep mode. When mine does it, it turns off instantly.

Mm, possibly. I haven't upgraded the firmware since I got the player as I haven't had any major problems with it (well except the ones that aren't fixed yet by any firmware) and didn't see the need. My 8G M6SL player came with FW Version: 2.004.4 is it worth updating to the new one?
