My Meizu can't update music library

Hello i got my meizu 2 days ago and everything worked fine i was playing my songs watching my videos. But then my friend told me to get the latest firmware 2.004.6 i installed it and i got a little trouble during the installation but i finnaly got it to work.

But then later on i tried to put songs on it and the meizu got freezed during the music library update i tried to restart and then it got a freeze when the mini player music update again. I waited a few hours and then i got it working but the songs didn't seem to show up. I did go to settings and then about and it was 700mb left with no songs on the device. I'm really confused

maybe one of your songs got shot during the update problem. Try to do a hard reset with formatting (see FAQ). Backup important files first.

Updating the library for the latest firmware will takes longer than the default firmware. The freezing at the music libary update is normal, but it should not take an hour to completely do an update. Usually around 5-10 minutes depending on the number of songs.

I keep seeing people it takes them 5+ minutes for like 500 songs. I have around 400 and it takes no more than 2 minutes, including the wait before it really starts updating. Yes, latest firmware 2.004.6.

Anyhow, sounds like something is a bit dodgy with that M6. Perhaps you can go to the shop that sold it to you.

How come 'Update Music Library' does not update only the Music FOLDER?
How come it takes AGES for MEIZU SP 8 GB to update the 'music library'?

The MEIZU SP 8GB gave me so much trouble that I bought another Mini MP3 Player ENTRYX 2GB. It looks like the MEIZU Player, but smaller. NO NEED TO UPDATE ANYTHING with this stylish mini player. I can watch videos, photos. I can hear music and read ebooks. (There is no FM radio and no recording feature but it is not so expensive as MEIZU. And it doesnt have so many bugs !).

Since the tiny Entryx can do all the things I need, I start again operating my MEIZU 8GB. Bigger problems than before since I installed the latest firmware (SP 2.004.6). My pics are visible but it's no picnic to manage the audio files: 'update music library' FREEZES if I drag my 6000 tiny audio files of vocabulary at the same time ! (This was no problem with Firmware 2.003.2. But 2.003.2 didn't show me any pictures !)

'Update Music Library' does not freeze if I drag ONLY 150 audio files at a time. I tried with 200. I had to format the player ONCE AGAIN.
