Meizu Problem?

I've never had trouble with my meizu, and I've had it for roughly two months now.

I tried to change my skin yesterday, and when I put the resource file into the root and unplugged it. I opened it but it stayed the same skin as I previously had. So I hooked it up to my computer again and tried again, but i noticed that they .bin file was still there, and usually it disappears right?

So after a few more attempts, I found it getting tedious, so I decided to format the player. I formatted and when I started it up and loaded the standard version of firmware, downloaded from here, i noticed that the skin was STILL the same as the one i downloaded before.

At first I got the green screen, and then it did the thing where I couldn't upload my .bin file again. Then after a while, it wouldn't be recognized altogether. So I resorted to DFU tools. That seems to work, but i always get a message that say "failed to reenumerate the device". And, it always says loading firmware and then just shuts off after. So I try to turn it on again. and it wont work unless i hold it for 30 seconds. Then, it just shows the loading firmware AGAIN.

I can tell its on sometiems even when the screen goes dark. When I move the hold button, I hear the sounds it makes, even though the touchpad doesnt seem to make sounds.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have a M6 SL

You should try multiple times with DFU tools, some people have had to try like 20 times even. Also please triple check if you're trying to upload the correct firmware (TP/SP/SL)!

P.S.: I guess the resources weren't uploaded because of version difference maybe?

Thanks for the reply Speeder : )

I've been trying DFU tools a lot and it still isnt recognized.

You know how the player has a flash of white before you turn it on?
Mine flashes, but not white. I can see the image that says Firmware is Loading underneath each time

Then when the loading screen comes up, I see a flash of the green screen and then it goes back to Firmware is Loading. I don't get why its still there since I reformatted so many times!

I finally fixed it : )
I had to use DFU tools about 30 times! Took a while but it works, and thats all that matters!

Thank god for that purple screen, when I saw it, I was ecstatic! haha! Thanks a bunch Speeder!

Good only 6 days old.

I had a very similar problem. Green screen, added resource and M6SL.BIN file to root directory of my M6SL, but it didn't like that at all. Don't get green screen anymore, just white flash then dark screen.

Downloaded DFU tools, unzipped it and then installed the tools. Placed the M6SL.BIN and resource file in there. Changed the ini file to recognise M6SL.BIN instead of M6.BIN (all good so far).

When I hold down m and play then connect the player I here this strange sound from my computer. You know when you here the normal connect device sound whenever you connect a USB device (DUN DUN, or something like that). Well I here a rapid (duh duh duh) and the hardware wizard thing doesn't come up (it used to when I was first trying the DFU tools, but after the 8th or so time it stopped opening and I started getting the strange duh duh duh sound instead of the reassuring DUH DUH. Note though that when i DISCONNECT the player i hear the normal disconnect sound.

Anyway went to control panel and add hardware, then chose DFU device from the menu and the wizard opened so hopefully thats ok. Choose to choose the location of the driver (Advanced), specified the DFU tools location and then clicked next. Then it almost immediately says:
The hardware was not installed because the wizard cannot find the necessary software. I have put the bin and resource file in there like i said and when I run the secdfu.exe file it says IMAGE 1:SST39VF800.dfu and IMAGE 2: M6SL.EBN, but DEVICE: is blank, and Download, abort, and both Browse buttons are unclickable.

When I open device manager "BLUES USD DFU Device" is under "Other Devices" and when I right click and click properties it says location: Location 0 (Blues USB DFU Device), Manafacturer: unknown and Device Type unknown.

Any ideas?

P.s. I know I typed alot, and much of this information may be redundant or completely unecessary but I wanted to make sure everyone had all the info possible to help me out.

Thanks.

I think the same problem has been mentioned and fixed in several dozen threads already.

Green screen is normal when updating firmware, not sure what you did after. Probably resorted to DFU tools too quickly and turned a small problem into a big one.

Yep I sort of got the same idea. But I still thought I'd ask as I don't know much about Meizu. Though its a big problem, do you think its fixable?
