    M6SL "formatted" itself. Now what?

My M6SL kept turning off with this one song, so while trying to skip this song, I did something that caused the screen to say "formatting."

Now when I turn on M6SL, it says "no resource."

Can somebody please list *exactly* what to do step by step? TIA.

    - Download the latest firmware (you can find it in the forum)
    - Extract the resource.bin from the RAR file
    - Copy the resource.bin to the player's root folder
    - Disconnect from the computer, and turn it off
    - Turn on the player and voila

Then you didn't have the latest firmware on your player previously.
    So:
1: Download the latest firmware that's exactly for your version of the player (T for TP, S for SP and SL versions, 2004.6 currently for all 3. Do not switch up the versions or you're in for a DFU Tools learning course.)
2: Extract the downloaded file into the root folder of your player. You should have an M6.EBN file (M6SL.EBN for SL players) and the resource.bin on your player.
    3: Unplug your player.
4: Switch your player off, then on. You should see an updating firmware, then a flash, then it turns off.
5: Turn the player on again. You should see updating resources
    6: Enjoy

My M6SL shipped to me November, 2007, so how do I know which version firmware it had? More importantly, where can I get that firmware? Looks like 2.004.5 came out January, 2008.

BTW, since the entire drive is formatted/wiped out, why can't you just update the firmware at the same time?

OK. I successfully installed the latest 2.004.6 firmware into my wiped-out Meizu M6SL, and everything seems to be working correctly.

    Hi
I have the exactly same problem (screen saying "no resource"). So i did as you said, extracting the downloaded files into the player
(although i couldn't figure which was the root folder since the folders in my player are at the same place unlike written at the Meizu M6 miniPlayer FAQ, (E: ), so i just put it at (E: )).
But nothing happened and it still says "No resource". what should i do? :S

"No resource" is exactly what it sounds like, no resource. Just copy over the resource.bin and restart.
Can't wait to play with the Meizu MX!

hmm... i found out why. i was using an old resource file xD

but anyways, it got fixed (yay!) but something weird happened:
the player seems to be formatted and i can't find a single file of what i put in but when i check the capacity of player, i see that 6gb is used of the total 8gb and only 1,58gb is left free, what has happened?
