did you try holding in the enter key (bottom button) for 15-30 seconds? that usually works for me.

There is a bug in recording. When you leave player to record more than around 45 minutes and more, player freezes and also, not save recorded files. I was reported this issue already, so we see, if there will be update in new FW.

Try a rest: hold enter button for about 30 secs with player on. Player will restart and hoefully work again

if that doesn't work try a format. note that all the files on your Miniplayer will be lost.
Turn on player and hold the FF button for about 30 seconds. A yellowish-green screen appears that tells you the player is formatting. Wait till the player is done doing this. Player will restart and should function normally again

if that doesn't work(which is unlikely as it seems you just uploaded a file the miniplayer cant handle so after a format your player should be "clean" again)
you can try the DFU tools.
This should be your last resort

Please check here for further information on these steps http://www.meizume.com/index.php?page=recovery

Sorry, this isn't a reply but yet another question - if it shouldn't be addressed here, please point me to the correct thread. I really don't want to waste anyone's time, but I've searched this forum site without finding anything that works.
<<<Frozen Meizu M6 SP 8GB (SN M6SP08GGCOKRT7669)>>>
I've had the M6 for 8 or so months and, once before now, had to do a soft reset (hold on to 'enter' for 20 secs). However today, I had a problem:
> I switched the M6 on, the screen came on, I touched the (touch-sensitive) pad, and a set of horizontal lines appeared on the screen, and the M6 locked up.
> I reset (pressed the 'enter' key for 20 seconds) and the M6 turned off. However, it would not turn on.
> I have since tried soft resets, hard resets and formats and, finally, downloaded the DFU tools for the SP - however, I cannot even install these tools, as I get the message 'The InstallShield Engine (iKernel.exe) could not be installed. The system cannot find the file specified.'
> The M6 flashes very briefly when the on/off switch is pressed and when a USB cable is inserted, but no other reaction can be triggered.
> I bought this on eBay from a HongKong seller - Have I now got nothing more than a piece of scrap?
Regards, Allan Hodgson.

>> I've just been reading through other threads on M6 user problems (11 hours after the original problem occurred). As I read these threads, I was idly, repeatedly, pressing the M6 on/off button for perhaps two or three minutes ... suddenly the M6 started working!
>> I've tested the M6 on music and video, and it's now OK. I've plugged it into my PC, and the USB screen has appeared, and I've used Windows Explorer to look through through the M6 directories. However, each time I opened a directory containing AVI files, Windows XP came up with a message along the lines of "To help protect your computer, Windows has closed this program. Name: Windows Explorer."
>> Perhaps an OS update will eliminate today's problems.
Regards, AllanH.

Well, the freeze-up problem has happened several times since but, if I leave the M6 for a few hours, the player seems to behave normally after pressing the 'ON' button.
I've just loaded the S2004.3 (English) firmware update for the SP version and will see if this clears the problem - I think I like the revised presentation format. Regards, AllanH.
