    Help!!!!!

I just received my player(M6 SP Version) yesterday and I cant get it to come on. All it does when I press the power button is flash briefly. Ive tried all the troubleshooting tips(hard reset, soft reset, reformat, etc.) but to no avail. I tried the DFU and it lets me get all the way to where you download the software to the player(I have Vista) but it says that it could not communicate with the device. I have been wanting this player for a long time, and after getting it and messing with it for several hours and getting really frustrated, I have almost regretted my decision. Is there anything I can do? Any help would be appreciated.

1.) You have to press the power button for 2-3 seconds.
2.) You do not need DFU tools under Vista.
3.) Is the battery charged? Connect it to the PC and see if the battery smbol will appear. You won't be able to get access to the player then. If you want to access the player via your PC you first have to turn the player on and then connect it to your PC.

It should be fully charged. I have tried everything to gety it to come on. And why dont i need the DFU tools under Vista? It only reads my player but i couldnt get it to show up as a removeable drive or anything. It just says that it is there.

The functionality of the DFU tools is already included in Vista.
Can you at least see the battery status when you connect your player to your PC (just connect the player, don't turn it on; you should see a battery symbol on the screen)? Or is the display not working at all?

Did the player just end up like that or did you try to upgrade it? And Hendrik is right about Vista. All you have to do is hold down the M and the Power button (Don't Let Go) and plug your player in. It should be recognized as a DFU device. A wizard should pop up, and install the drivers. Then you should see it as a drive in My Computer. Drag and drop the M6.ebn and the Resource.bin into your player. then safley remove the drive and let go of the two buttons. Now try to boot it up. Hope this helps.
If you are having trouble with your player, please visit this thread first and try the steps before you panic. Most likely you will be able to fix your player easily using the steps listed.

It shows up as a dfu device, but i dont have the disk with the drivers, so im not sure what to do. Do I need to install the ebn and resource files somewhere for windows to find? I dont know what to do without the disk.

    1. install the dfu tools software.
    2. hold down the M and the power button together, dont let it go and plug in the usb cable and the computer will detect it as a Usb Dfu Device.
N.B. DONT LET GO THE M AND THE POWER UNTIL THE INSTALLATION IS DONE.
    3. U need to install the drivers from the found new hardware.
    a. Can Windows connect ________
No not at this time.........click next
    b. Install from a list or a specific location
    c. Make sure "Include this location in the search" is checked, then click browse
    d. go to c:\program files\Meizu\DFU Tools (make sure u click on dfu tools folder). then click ok, then next.
e.Upon verification, click continue anyway then wait for it to done install.
    f. U can let go the buttons now.

Read the somewhere else for the rest, my hands are tired.
